Does it really matter??? Nvidia Options

Trinity31

So I'm looking at the following two cards, and wondering which would be better in my i7-10700 build, with Asus Z490 mobo and 32GB ram.

Asus 2060 Super Dual EVO OC V2 - or - Gigabyte 2070 Windforce 2X

They are both the SAME PRICE. So I'm looking for the one that will perform better, and also that is the quietest. I don't plan to do any overclocking, or if any then very basic/minimal.

Looking for your expert opinions!

Thanks everyone

any 2070 will be much faster than a 2060.

If this is for games, id drop down to a 10600 or 3600 and get a 2080 as a faster graphics card normally makes a bigger difference in performance.

Even faster than the 2060 Super tho? Asus advertises the boost speed on their 2060S as 1725, whereas the core clock on the 2070 is 1620

the clock speed on gpus can't be compared between gpus. There is more units on the 2070, so it will basically always be faster thna a 2060s.

Also id really try to get a 2080 or 2070s if you can.

The 2070 is 3~5% faster than the 2060 Super, basically margin of error.

Both models that you mentioned run hot (80º+), but the Windforce is quiet, not sure about the asus one tho.

Thanks guys. Sounds like I'm going to go with the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 Windforce 2X GV-N2070WF2-8GD, unless anyone has any further thoughts on it?
