My sister uses Photoshop for her business on this machine and she needs some upgrades the first thing I decided on was going to 16gb 3200mhz ram easy upgrade since she was using almost all 8 gigs at idle if I can fit an SSD in it I want to do that but what else can I do. Limited by the fact that it's an hp and power supply is small what's possible can I possibly put in a new cpu? If so what would be a good fit? Is there a way to get a bigger power supply? I haven't dug into it yet but I presume many things are proprietary. Basically what's a good path. Staying in this chassis because...ya know.

that's an issue. Open task manager and check the startup tab, make sure there aren't a ton of useless junk programs opening on startup. Disable everything that you can.

An SSD is gonna be the biggest speed boost you can put for normal use. The motherboard supports second gen CPUs as well, but the 2200G uses Zen, not Zen +, likely not an upgrade at all. You could either get more cores, a 1600 or 1700 is good (I don't know what your config is currently using, you didn't list it.)

300 watt power supply, give or take. You can run an 8 core Ryzen CPU and low/mid range graphics card like a 1650 super off that.

List current specs please.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k (won) - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Kill Trident Z RGB - Force MP500 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - The venerated Hyper 212 Evo (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G2 650W - Black and green theme, Razer branwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Linux Proliant ML150 G6:

Dual Xeon X5560 - 24GB ECC DDR3 - GTX 750 TI - old Seagate 1.5TB HDD - Dark moded Ubuntu (and Win7, cuz why not)

How many watts do I need? Seasonic Focus threadUserbenchmark (Et al.) is trash explained, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
