rtx 2060 good for 1080p gaming?

pibs

Is the rtx 2060 good for 1080p in games like rdr2 and gta v?

also I heard that the 2060 is bad for ray tracing. Is it really that bad? Will I be able to get at least 30fps in ray traced games at 1080p?

I would think so! Maybe look up some reviews on YT?

Its ok. But most likely horrible value considering there is a real next generation of gpu:s coming in a few months. For the first time in 3-4 years youll see a real jump in fps per dollar.

Ok, I really don’t wanna wait more than like a month for a gpu upgrade. Is it worth it to wait? And how soon is it gonna release

Great card for 1080p gaming. As far as I know, you should be able to get around 40-50 FPS on 1080p depending on your graphics settings. Benchmarks I’ve seen can go up to 60s-70s at 1080p and around 30-40 at 1440p.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

That’s very good but how does it do in ray tracing games?

It should be announced in a month and a half and be available a couple weeks after that. Benchmarks show up to 30% improvement in higher end cards. No leaks that I know of for mid range cards though.

Those are FPS for ray tracing on. Should be much higher for ray tracing off.

Nice, I thought it would be more like 20fps based on how some people talk about ray tracing on the 2060

Try getting a cheap 1050 for now

The skip on 2000 series is really worth it unless you find a good deal on a normal 2060 or a 2060 super

If not

Wait for 3000 series.

A gtx 1050 would be a downgrade from what I currently have, I have a gtx 970, if it’s worth it to wait then ok.

Does your 970 work fine?

Is so, keep it

I just thought your gpu died :)

Ok. Should I wait till 3000 series before I upgrade? And if it did die I probably would’ve mentioned it

Dont upgrade to 2000 series and then 3000 series.

Youll lose money.

Just wait for the 3000 series announcement so we could see the prices of the new series.

What settings?

A 5700xt should be the same price and a MUCH better buy.
