Inverted Controls

Does anyone actually ever use the inverted controls when playing with a mouse and keyboard? or is this option just a relic ported over from consols and from what i can tell, any game that is focused on flying?
Would really like to know some of you guys feedback

I only ever use inverted Y axis for flying games, like Elite or No Man's Sky.  And I think it is exactly that, a holdover from how actual flight controls work.
