PC refuses to boot off SSD

JangoTheMadMan

Hi was wondering if anyone could help, I have a pc that won’t boot off of my SSD, I’ve installed a fresh version of Windows 10 on the SSD off another computer and it boots perfectly on there. When I try to boot off the pc it is intended for it gets stuck on “Verifying DMI Pool Data” and doesn’t move on from that screen, I’ve tried resetting the bios by removing the battery setting it as the master drive in the slave masterconfiguration, changing the SATA port it’s plugged into and it all doesn’t work even when I directly select to boot off it from the bios. The computer can boot as it works perfectly fine with a old hard drive that I was using before I attempted at switching to an SSD

CPU: AMD FX-8350

GPU: AMD RX 580

SSD: Kingston A400 120GB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB (2016) - (PC would boot from this)

MBD: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 R2

Does the MB detect the SSD correctly (in BIOS)?

try removing the hdd by unplugging the sata cable so that it forces it to boot off the ssd it since it is the only drive connected.  If not you might need to reinstall windows by using a usb stick.

The SSD shows up fine in the bios and lets me select it to boot off, that’s when it gets stuck on the verifying bit

I’ve tried that unplugging everything except the SSD, as well as wiping the SSD clean on another pc and installing a fresh copy of Windows and it still won’t boot

Is the SATA Port configured as AHCI? Or "Native IDE"? If IDE, try AHCI.

Whats the current setting for "EFI CD/DVD Boot Option"?  It shoud be AUTO or EFI.

Tried both settings for each of them (IDE and AHCI) as well as changing the CD Boot Option to no luck :(
