Underpowered pc

Vilske

I need some help with my pc because i feel that it is underpowered. I have r7 2700, gtx 1060 6gb, 16gb ddr4 3200 and i am still having problems running like gta v and other "modern titles". With gta i am having around 60-70fps with high settings and pretty crappy advanced settings. I have struggled with this a long time and i havent been able to fix it. Seeking help.

What resolution are you playing in?

To RGB, or not to RGB? That is the question.

- Shakespeare. Hamlet, Act III, scene I.

Just sounds like the machine needs a 'spring clean'...

This - what other frames of reference make you think you need more power?

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

The performance seems like where it should be with a 1060.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

1080p my games stutter a lot and in benchmark videos gtx 1060 performs much better with better settings and with same power systems

I get around 100 fps in GTA V with high settings with a 1070 & i5 8400 and it's GPU bound so I would not think that 70 fps with a 1060 is too far off the mark? Seems pretty OK to me. Don't know about the stuttering tho, you could maybe try reinstalling drivers with DDU and see if that helps?
