Anti-Virus Software I can both afford and trust

Go to solution Solved by nox_,

You don't need antivirus for Linux, just use your head and you will be okay.

I am looking for a anti-virus for my Ubuntu 20.04 Linux computer that will

1) Actually work

2) Not be too costly (max $20/yr)

3) Work on Linux

Help, please. I want something that will "just work" so I don't have to worry about ransomware, trojan horses, and just plain old viruses..

Thanks!

Any help appreciated

i've been using linux for 10 years and i have never encountered a virus. they're exceedingly rare to come by because writing convincing viruses for linux is incredibly difficult thanks to linux's solid security. you do not need an antivirus. i don't even think they exist.
