GPU After market Coolers: Compatibility, Reliability and VRM's

Ether_VS

Hey, I'm curious about your thoughts on GPU coolers?

I don't know about you guys, but my GPU is the loudest fan in my system, Iv been toying with replacing it with one of these:

I have a 1650 SUPER 4 GB

Iv done some reading and I'm curious about the typical compatibility checks and reliability of the seemingly janky VRM Cooling solutions.

Feel free to reply about cool alternative coolers, DIY cooler mounts, and personal tails of VRM's exploding?

What are your temps and have you tried controlling fan first?

The aftermarket coolers are 100% compatible with reference PCB. The performance is probably same or bit better as the fan is bigger. On VRMs looking at how its done it might be hit and miss. Since Gigabyte uses shroud to keep airflow in right place vs Arctic relying just regular airflow.

I have a itx sized GPU as well. Fan was very annoying so I ripped out the shroud and fan, mounted (leaning on a vertical graphics card).
