A DIY case might be your best option, but you can make them look good even if they're made out of wood! Just gotta plan it right.

You could also use a case frame as a sacrificial piece and build an exterior around it. (Cut out the top for example so your board can extrude past the top frame plane and then build a new exterior panels upwards to cover it.

The motherboard in question is 14inch (height) by 11inch (width) any ideas?

Any help will be appreciated

Specific form factor? Hard to make a recommendation based on a size alone. Sounds like a server board though

Specific Form Factor?

The closest is hptx, but, I am maybe looking to get a dark base pro 900 as that is quite close to the form factor, and it is a matter of modification.. maybe.

It is a hp z600 board, and I've seen forums where it has been hacked into a cooler master cosmos, but they are very hard to find here in australia, therefore I posted this question. :) Thanks

And, I've put 14/11 inches, but I've figured out that it is 13.5x10.5, as I measured wrong

Is this the board?

Used Applies to for HP Z600 Workstation Motherboard X58 Dual ...

This board extends vertically over the rear I/O shield, so 99.999% of modern cases will not work because they dont have enough space above the I/O back cutout. You likely are looking at mostly the Dark Base Pro 900, C700M, Define 7 XP (maybe?) types of cases that are just super huge. I cannot gauarentee any of them will fit though since this motherboard isnt designed to fit in normal cases.

@TVwazhere

Yes, that is the board.

I was also looking at a thermaltake core w100, which looks like it will easily fit. but the only used one was on the other side of the country and shipping is a pain, and new, they are about $AU500

I might have to resort to building a crude looking case
