Surface Laptop 3 Fan noise while charging

So I recently purchased a Surface Laptop 3 and sometimes when charging the fan speed just surges making a loud noise. The first time it happened I literally thought it was about to take off like a jet engine. I searched on Microsoft forums where most of the answers were about updating windows, but I just checked it was the latest version so something else must be off. Does any Surface owner here have similar problems?
