Budget-ish laptop recommendations for video editing and gaming?

Hi, I'm looking for some insights with these laptops

Acer Nitro 5

Asus TUF FX505

Lenovo Y540

I need a laptop for mostly video editing but I'd also like to game with it. So far I found these three and can't decide between them. The models I found were all similar in specs: 9th gen i5 or 3rd gen Ryzen 5 paired with a 1650, they mostly differ with storage and screen.

As much as I'd like to wait for 10th gen intel or 4000-series Ryzen, my 7-year old laptop died and I have nothing to use at uni and work.

If there are better options, I'd highly appreciate recommendations

Wait a bit and get a Zen 4000 series H CPU so that you can actually use your editing software smoothly with the 6-8 cores on Ryzen 5/7 models. They're out in a month or two

What software are you using to do your video editing?

Mostly Premiere and After Effects right now, might use Vegas soon

Even though the Adobe suite has support for CUDA, it is criminally underutilized compared to software like DaVinci Resolve, so you'll want to spend your money on as much CPU and RAM as you can afford.  For a laptop with at least 16GB of RAM and that can turbo up to 4+ GHz without throttling can get a little pricey if you want to buy new, but there's a ton of great refurb deals out there.  I would really stress that having 8GB of RAM is not going to be enough to edit video without a massive amount of frustration.
