At certain resolutions, anything can run 144hz ?

But yes, your monitor supports 144HZ over DVI. The big question is what HDMI version the source device has. If HDMI 2.0 you should be able to get 1080p 144hz. Make sure your adapter cable is also HDMI 2.0 to DVI-D

This is incorrect. HDMI to DVI adapters used in this configuration will be limited to the capabilities of single-link DVI, which is 60 Hz at 1080p.

Belkin claims their adapters will support dual link, and thus higher resolutions and frame rates.

Can I have a link to it?

DVI-HDMI adapters can support HDMI 2.0, but it will only work when used from a DVI source port to an HDMI 2.0 display. That won't work in this case.

But you know what, you're probably correct. Their description says DVI to HDMI.

I did more digging, and a series of converters might do the trick: https://superuser.com/a/997302

It's not impossible, but I generally advise against it. I've tried HDMI to DP active adapter + DP to DL-DVI active adapter chains before with multiple different adapters, which I know work, and I have never been able to get a signal before. So I don't consider it a reliable option.

In this case the VG248 has DisplayPort, so the OP should be able to just use a DisplayPort cable.

Hello

I know I am a bit late to this conversation, but I am in some problems

I have just bought a new pc, but the displays supported is Hdmi, and my monitor I DVI
Is it possible to find an adapter that converts Hdmi to dvi and still supports 144hz?
I have found a couple of converters, but none says what version the hdmi is.

Thanks in advance!
