GPU doesn't operate when drivers are installed

Hello all

So i had problem with my pc i couldn't install windows for some reason , so i have gave it to the repair shop and they said that GPU dosen't operate when drivers are installed and i was wonder is there a way i can fix this or do i need new one ?

If you could see something on the monitor, the GPU is operating, period. It may not operate at its best, but it's operating.

 

What's the error the Windows installer is giving you when you're trying to install, if it gives one?

But yeah, I've heard of gpu dying and working somewhat with windows basic boot drivers but no signal with an actual driver.

There's also been cases where it just can't render 3d anymore, so it will crash or give no output when you try to make it do so.

Shit happens, if it's a new gpu from a reputable seller you should be able to return it for an exchange or something. If you've owned it for a while maybe it's still under warranty?

 

edit: As far as fixing the gpu, it kind of depends what's specifically wrong with the card. Knowing the model of the card can help rule out common problems/solutions. If it isn't a simple problem it probably won't be worth fixing.
