Worth upgrading

I have a decent i5 but kinda old one and im thinking of upgrading to a I9 9900k so should i wait that Intel Releases something new or  buy the i9

Depending of what you plan of using it for. What is your specs? Maybe go AMD, you get more for the dollars atm or wait for the new 10 core 300W super heater.

I have a rtx 2080 super 32 gigs ram i dont remember the cpu full name and i Use it for gaming and school stuff
