What was your Friday 13th tech related good luck?

As Fri 13th is always seen as "unlucky", what was your bit of tech luck yesterday?

 

I had 2, first one was load testing and finishing my Z800 PSU swap, and the second was finding an Xbox One for sale for £30. "Untested" with no power supply or controller. Get it home and there's damage to the tamper seal, the case doesn't fit properly and the rear has damaged plastics. Untested my arse. It did power on but no video output, I tried resetting the video settings with power and eject, but no luck. Moved it a bit and the screen flickers, it's had a whack on the rear and damaged the HDMI port but works with the cable at the right angle. Bit of soldering will sort that out. I;ve already wiped it, installed a few games and given it a few hours testing so I think I scored a bargain there :).

got a killer deal on a Dell managed network switch! Just plugged it in now to see if it works, and it does!

Now all I need is to make some custom length Ethernet cables...
