intermediate am4 cpu

looking at buying a ryzen 7 2700 or ryzen 5 2600. is there any other recomendations. would like to run star citizen and fusion 360 with meduim high settings without impacting fps

Fusion 360 uses history based modelling and as such doesn't have many opportunities to use many core and depends more on higher single threaded performance. I would suggest a 3600 or a 3700 if you have the budget.

Why are you still considering zen+ over zen 2? If you're very budget conscious then no gaming cpu can come close to the price/perf that the 2600 has, but the 2700 is priced near enough to the 3600 that I wouldn't even consider it.

i have a deal where i can get ether the ryzen 5 2600 for $115, the ryzen 5 2600x for $140 or the ryzen 7 2700 for 140.
