Alternative air cooler options for 1080.

Hi all.

 

I have an open ticket with Gigabyte regarding this but failing a solution I want to look at options here.

 

I've a Gigabyte G1 1080 Windforce OC.  The plastic fan shroud has two broken tabs, it was one before but another went the last time I gently put it back in the case.  For now the shroud remains on but this clearly will fail at some point.

 

What are my third party solutions?

PC - NZXT H510 Elite, Ryzen 5600, 16GB DDR3200 2x8GB, EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra, Asus VG278HQ 165hz,

 

Mac - 1.4ghz i5, 4GB DDR3 1600mhz, Intel HD 5000.  x2

I've heard good things about the Arctic coolers. They're not the prettiest but they seem to cool very well. Not sure what one you'll need for your card.

It's the entire shroud that the three fans are attached too, it is held to the heat sink by six plastic brittle clips, two of which have failed and have caused a droop on each corner.  So far bodged together with some scotch tape.

Raijintek Morpheus is a pretty nice GPU heat sink

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
