is that straight up water with clear tubes? I looks strange, a good strange but strange none the less.

It's colored tubing. I guess the fans kind of overpower it and make it look clear though.

Looks great! It's a tad bit too green for me though... Have you tried white leds? IMO I think it would look WAY better, but that's my two cents.
