Want to purchase a asus rog swift 34” 1440p monitor

I want to know in Skyrim if you can run the game full screen in 1080p with this monitor. It’s for my grandma and all she plays is Skyrim but she wanted to upgrade her monitor. But she wants Skyrim full screen.

If you're not going to run it at native resolution because her computer can't handle it, why don't you just get her a 2560x1080 34" monitor?

She just got a rtx 2070 and she has 16gb ram. And it’s 3440x1440

 

She just bought a ultra wide then Realized she can’t play Skyrim full screen.

I believe it's just an .ini setting if it doesn't work out of the box, especially for the special edition.

It's been a long time since I last played so can't remember.

There are a couple ultra-wide mods on the Nexusmods you might want to check out. Though I don't know if any properly support 24:9.
