Posted October 18 · Original PosterOP Hi all, I have a dell g5 5590 that I use for classwork and gaming. I have tried a number of different software options, but I haven't found one that works to my liking yet. Alienware command center worked for a bit, but then broke and wouldn't work again. I believe speedfan couldn't recognize my fans, and HW monitor didn't give me the control I desired. Is there a free program that works on dell machines that allows the user to have custom fan curves and multiple presets? I've been using the dell power manager, and it conviently bundles power and thermal profiles together, but I'm not a fan of the fan curves.
Posted October 19 No* *) there's modern version of SpeedFan by one of our members, but it's only for testing as settings won't save beyond boot. There's Argus Monitor which is paid alternative. But otherwise you are down to what manufacturers offer. ^^^^ That's my post ^^^^ <-- This is me --- That's your scrollbar --> vvvv Who's there? vvvv
