What’s the best sub ~$250 laptop?

My friend is looking for a laptop that can run Minecraft (that’s the only game he plays) as well as so some web browsing (YouTube, etc.) and that’s about it. I have a few ideas of what laptops he should get, but am looking for other opinions. FYI: He doesn’t want a Chromebook (because Minecraft). Ideally he wants it to be under $200 (if possible) but can go as high as $250. If this is too cheap, let me know but keep in mind he doesn’t mind buying used.

With that sort of budget this is the only option really.

if he is fine buying used you can search eBay for old workstation laptops with 2nd-4th gen i7s and probably a keplar based quadro, even a K3000M is way better than intel HD graphics.

here is a M4700 with a 3720qm (which is actually quite good for this cheap of a laptop) and firepro M4000 (basically the same as a K3000M) for $200, just needs a charger and an SSD/HDD which will bring it up to about $250 total.

Thanks for the suggestions. On those older business laptops, how bad of a battery life should he expect?

my M6700 (same battery as the M4700) lasts about 2-3 hours (but mine is on high performance, OCed and doesn't have nVidia optimus), that one I linked I would expect to get maybe 4-5 hours while not doing much and closer to 3 while gaming (assuming the battery is in good shape.)
