after market cpu cooler for ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero LGA 1151

Pachuca
Go to solution Solved by Fasauceome,

For something along the same lines as the T4, the Hyper 212 black edition works pretty well, it comes in way under your budget if you want to save some money.

I recently tried using Cooler Master Hyper T4 for my maximus x and unfortunately the cooler doesn't make contact with the cpu. I have to lay the entire case down horizontally in order for the cooler to actually make contact. Long story short, I have no idea what cooler to get for my 8700k. Does anyone know of a good cooler that will fit and have at least 4 heatpipes and something affordable within 40-60 range?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Are you sure you're using all of the mounting hardware correctly?

The T4 isn't very suitable for the 8700k anyway.

What case and ram are you using?
