Profile pictures not loading

Over the long period of time I've spend on this forum there has been some occurrences where profile pictures of certain user are not loaded. This happened again today but with 3 users in a row. I'm beginning to wonder if its a bug or users uploading pictures that can't be displayed...

 

OS: Windows 10 Education 1803 64-bit (Build 17134.829)

Browser: Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (32-bit)

This happens for members who synchronise their pictures from an external service like Discord, then change their Discord picture. The forum is meant to try and update regularly, but there are some bugs with that which result in this happening. I'm aware of the issue, but there's no clear cut solution unfortunately.
