Minecraft Launcher Won't Connect to Internet

I just started having this issue today, whenever I try to login into Minecraft the launcher says it is not connected. Everything else works fine, wired and wireless. I have even given it a bypass through my firewall, rebooted, and reinstalled.

Yeah it's the new updated launcher, it keeps saying it's not connected for some reason. Is there a way to fix this without using third party clients?

All you can do is report it and wait for Mojang to fix it unless you can go into the launcher files and specify what adapter to use but that's beyond my knowledge

I'm using MultiMC for now, but there still doesn't seem to be an official solution from Mojang

I finally found a solution, however, it evolves messing with system 32. If you pull up the command prompt and enter "netsh winsock reset catalog". Then restart your computer and restart Minecraft it may work. At least for me, it did.

I just went on a US vpn and then it worked...
