Power Button goes to lock Screen

I have an old surface pro. 

I have the surface set up where it auto logs into windows and opens a Camera stream in VLC.

I want users to be able to press the power button. The issue is when they press the power button to get back into windows. Problem is that, when I click the power button, it goes to the lock screen asking for the password to the account. Please help. How do I fix this.

You remove the password for the account.

it is a domain account. I can't. Is there a registry editor or something else I can do.

Check the advanced power options to see if there is a setting for asking for password on wake from sleep, maybe you can disable that.

Nope. It needs to be out of the domain.
