My rams OC or X AMP profile dont work.

So I put my ram to its default speeds which is 2666 but my computer when I go to task manager it tells me its running 1337? If someone could tell me a fix it would be much appreciated.

hey its fine. You are running dual channel, and that means that your computer will only display 1337(50% of 2666) but its actually 2666mhz.

u welcome:)

DDR4-2666 showing up as ~1337 MHz is normal.

The reason behind it is NOT because it is Dual Channel, BUT rather, DRAM operates on the rising-edge and falling-edge of every clock cycle.

It's ACTUAL speed is ~1333 MHz, but the EFFECTIVE speed is 2666 MHz.

Why Windows Tank Manager / CPU-Z / other software show a mix between actual frequency, and effective frequency is something else.

Normally, with most common electronics or devices that are "clocked", they only perform one action / instruction on every pulse cycle.

(like SDR shown in the diagram below)

DDR4 = Double Data Rate (rev 4).
