Looking for monitor suggestions for my 2080ti

legendofham

Hey Everyone,

I'm currently running a RTX 2080ti. I'm currently looking to buy a new monitor. My current specs that I’m looking for is 2560x1440p, 144hz.  I’m located in Vancouver, Canada.

Does GSync matter?

I was planning to get the Gigabyte AORUS AD27QD (https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/RPCD4D/gigabyte-aorus-ad27qd-sa-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-aorus-ad27qd-sa)

or the Acer - VG271U Pbmiipx (https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/b8VD4D/acer-vg271u-pbmiipx-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-vg271u-pbmiipx).

However, the Aorus one is officially G-sync Compatible whereas the Acer one has a review that states that it will work with G-sync (https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/ayflnj/mini_review_of_the_acer_nitro_vg271u_pbmiipx/).

The Acer one looks cheaper and I really don’t need the noise cancelling function of the Aorus one but apparently the Aorus has better picture reproduction and colour accuracy.

I don’t mind investing in a G-Sync monitor if it’s actually worth the extra cost.

Therefore, is there a recommended G-Sync monitor I should get or should I just stick with the Acer or Gigabyte monitor?

Thanks for your time and sorry for the long post!

Both are decent!

Gsync and Freesync are useless

@Constantin May I ask why they are both useless?
