500GB NVME m.2. Boot drive or steam library?

So my laptop need a dire storage upgrade and I’m planning to get the 250GB SSD on my PC and move it to my laptop. The current setup of my PC is

 

Samsung 850 Evo 250GB = Boot drive

Samsung 860 Evo 500GB = Steam Library

WD 1TB 7200rpm = Etc library

 

Just want to ask where will I see the most improvement? Using the NVME drive as a boot drive or using it as a steam library?

 

If i use the nvme as a steam library i can use the 500gb ssd as a boot drive and vice versa.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600, Ryzen 5 3600

Motherboard: MSI B350M Bazooka, ASUS X570 Tuf Gaming-Plus

GPU: MSI GTX 1060 3GB Aero ITX OC, MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z

Ram: Corsair LPX 2x8GB 3000mhz DDR4

PSU: Antec Neo Eco 650W 80+ Bronze, Corsair RM750x

Storage:

• Samsung 850 Evo 250GB (Boot Drive)

• Samsung 860 Evo 500GB (Steam Library)

• Western Digital Blue 1TB (Anything Library)

Cooling: Hyper 212X, NZXT X72

Case: Silencio 352, MasterBox 5 White (Mesh)

I would personally use it for steam. You wont notice any difference between a sata drive and NVMe drive for boot and applications.

I would opt for larger storage for my stream library (personally). Having run Battlefield on a HDD, Sata SSD, and NVME SSD I can tell you the difference between Sata and NVME SSD's is negligible.

I would use the larger SSD for Steam.  If you're like me then that drive can fill up quickly.
