Question about stress testing

So hey guys, I am encountering a problem with stress testing. I am trying to find out if my GPU or PSU is the problem (most likely the PSU)

But the problem is, if I keep stress testing, especially if the PC turns off (no signal) or keeps restarting, after every stress test, am I at risk of breaking my system? I just got my Mobo, RAM, and proc around 3 days ago...

Thank you.

Stress testing is a good way to figure out if you have a hardware problem or not. If it can't handle a high workload for which its designed to do, it's defective.

Fuck. I don't know then. My Rx570 at 100% fan speed reaches 74° in 3 mins then shut downs (no signal)

I am using Kombustor.

Does this mean I have a defective GPU?

Have you ran benchmarks with games, 3DMark, or anything else? Kombustor's stress test is specifically designed to be a worst-case scenario, which games do not usually put the GPU under. If everything else is fine except for Kombustor, then the card may still be usable.

Only PES 2019... Which I encounter stuttering then a no signal.

Tried PUBGM. Sudden no signal then a sudden restart of the system without me touching the front panel. I am suspecting that this is a PSU problem. Since my GPU Temps even under Kombustor are around 70-75 max

Could be possible. Which PSU do you have?

A REX III 2.3 600w PSU from Korea. They say it is true rated but I'm not so sure... It's been a year with me though. And it's acting up now.

Oh and a side note, I only played PUBGM for a few minutes, my temps never went even close to 60°

I ran Kombustor earlier for 3 minutes and 0 artifacts were identified even.

If I buy a PSU, should I get a true rated one or just a generic one? Which should be for my setup?

It has never been given efficiency certification but it claims to achieve 80+ White rating:

Honestly this unit is not recommended for anything above 450W load.

I'm sorry. I just upgraded to a ryzen 3 2200g with a b450m mortar. This is actually my first time changing to AMD.

My previous build with my Intel 4th Gen and a gigabyte b260 board went smoothly with my Rx 570 and Rex PSU... I don't know what is happening now.

Buuut then again, my i3 was idling 38° and constantly overheating. A repairman told me that it overdrawed voltage causing it to be that way.

Hmmm... Time to change I guess? Before it destroys my new ryzen and mobo?

How many watts do you guys recommend for my build? And how what brands can you recommend???

More info:

I played PUBGM yesterday no problems at all

Today I tried PES 2019 only for it to stutter during gameplay and blacked out my screen.

I also only played PUBGM for a few minutes after the incident before it goes to black and restarts for no reason.

What I also did today though, was update my bios and update my drivers to have the ryzen power plan.

Again, Kombustor can do 75° for 3 minutes with no problem, until the screen goes to black.

I don't believe this is an overheating thing, nor is an artifact thing since artifact count was 0/0 until the screen blacked out

Forget Kombuster.  Get Aida64 and run stability test and put a check mark in GPU ,,, let her run for 30 minutes to 1 hour.  If no freeze or signal loss or crash then your fine.  Also do not run synthetic tests as that puts a load on your system that will never happen in the real world.  Your GPU temps are fine BTW.  How are your CPU temps ?

Nothing out of the ordinary for CPU Temps. 60 under load at the very best.

I just did my research. Feels like it's an Rx570 driver issue. FFS ugh.
