New PSU didnt come with MB connector! Dual PSU question!

ALRIGHT! So I'm walking my friend through upgrading his PC and the two upgrades are GPU and PSU. GPU went in fine, but the EVGA psu does not have the motherboard cable with it! Its modular! Is there any risk at all if we just have both on? The old PSU handling just the motherboard connector, while the new one powers everything else? Its a temp solution and would only be like that long enough to get EVGA to mail him a replacement cable

should be fine, you will need to jump the second psu at the same time though.
