Mouse and isopropyl alcohol

Can I use 50% isopropyl alocohol on a mouse (I want to replace the Teflon feet and need to clean the residue) if any of that alcohol gets inside the mouse will it damage the components because it's 50 percent water?

 

Is 70% alocohol suited for plastic mouses and keyboards?

 

Is 91% isopropyl alcohol going to damage a plastic mouse?

I use that when i replace my mouse feet but i didn't pour the alcohol lol i use coffee filter and the alcohol will evaporate so quickly..but i never use it to clean my mouse. I use water to clean em.

You don't want 50% alcohol. 70% or stronger is fine.

all thumbs, never had luck replacing the actual feet on a mouse before. i always end up with a mouse that is tipsy afterwards. 

 

as far as cleaning, 50% solution is what i normally use. (cheap stuff from dollar store or wherever).

 

get yourself a "kitchen plate", take a paper towel and fold it up, and put enough alc on towel to get it wet, then set mouse on top.  let it set a few minutes, then scrub with a hard bristle tooth brush, repeat.  if you gouge the plastic, your feet are going to be out of place.
