Jump on my first pair of ANCs or wait?

Hello all,

 

So I'm planning on buying my first ANC cans and just still deciding between the QC35 IIs and the Sony MX3s. Both are great options I'm well aware and I'm sure I'll be happy with both. However, that is not the point of this thread. I am wondering if I should just buy one right now, or wait a bit until either Bose comes out with QC35 IIIs or Sony brings out a refresh. I'm not sure if either companies are planning to or not, which is why I'm making this thread.

Just as some background in case anyone wants to guide me in a completely different direction: I'm coming from a pair of HD 598 (open) which I only use at home and Jaybird X3s which I use for everything else (school, travel, gym, etc.). I'm looking for something with a bit more isolation than my X3s (I don't think anything will beat their sound quality. I've even tried the QC35 IIs next to my X3s and the Bose do not compare IMO) when I'm studying at school as well as something more comfortable and with a better battery life.
