Hello everyone....

I am a newbie in video editing and I want to create a stopwatch in the video to compare speeds between two side by side clips.

I used 'timecode' to do this for the two clips.

Now one of the clips is much longer than the other so I increased a part of its speed by 300% by cutting the part and using 'Speed/Duration'. 

The problem thus created is that the timecode is still at the same speed i.e the overall time got down to 1/3rd of the clip.
I wanted the timecode to also go 3 times faster...
Is there any solution to this problem.

Why not make a timer on the video(render one out in after effects) and add that onto the video.

I want to do it totally in premiere because the account I don't have Adobe after effects...
If you know any free softwares like that please do tell me.

Also I can go to Linux distros if it means I can do it for free.
