Asus PG279Q

I am considering buying the Asus ROG PG279Q monitor. However, I have read reports about it having backlight bleed problems etc and this is unacceptable to me due to the high price. Is this my best option for IPS 1440P high refresh, g sync monitor or are there alternatives for around the same price?

I am using The PG279Q, It turns out to be a great monitor. The backlight bleed problems didn't occur to me though.
