Best guide for handwiring a keyboard?

Hi,is the guide on geekhack would be the best one to look up to, or you can recommend better ones? I already have most of the parts I need, plate is on the way, also the switches, controller I have already, diodes too, all the tools already available. BTW, the guide I'm talking about https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=87689.0

I've never hand wired but that guide seems quite good. It's probably best to ask this question over on r/MechanicalKeyboards/

Will be doing that, just wanted to try here too.

Not gonna create new thread for now,but could someone offer any feedback on this controller https://keeb.io/products/postage-board-usb-c-controller-board-for-handwiring ? @seon123 @geo3 @b emoji maybe any of you could post your opinions of it? Is it good, worth getting ? I will be posting to https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/ but asking here also. Any opinions would be great to hear.

I don't really have much experience at all... I'm not really able to see how it would make it easier to assemble the keyboard, but the USB-C port is certainly nice.

For my project, I just chose the Pro Micro, because it's very cheap on eBay.

I do not see any real advantages too, looks like just the controller with type C, that's why I'm asking, thank you for your input though. I received the controller I ordered in bad condition, badly damaged (postal service does that in my country quite often), so I will have to buy again, teensy, the one you mentioned and  Postage one are the ones i'm choosing from. I had bought teensy originally.

I like that it has holes for switches making it easier to mount. One of the (many) things that deterred me from hand-wiring is mounting the controller always seemed quite messy. This is a nice addition that takes a little of that hassle away.

Other than that the microcontroller is good. The ATmega32u4 the go to MCU for keyboards.
