Suggestions for a cheapo portable monitor

So I have the surface pro, and sometimes when I'm working on stuff it could really help to have a second display I can just snag out of my bag and connect. 

 

I saw a bunch of usb monitor on Amazon but it's all really expensive. I don't give two damns about the resolution though - it's basically for document viewing. Is it realistic to find something like that closer to 50$? (Surface has only mini dp but I have a butt ton of adapters)

I think the cheapest I've seen is about $100 and that's for a terrible quality monitor. The one I ended up with which was decent quality cost me $300.

eBay is your friend. You can get an 8" monitor for around $40-60 with a VGA input.

you could try and look for portable monitors for consoles.. some of them are under 13" with somewhat good resolutions (not that i owned one before) but its a good place to look
