Aorus X5 v8-CF1 or Aorus 15 X9

Delta5ff

I'm looking at getting a Gaming laptop and have finally narrowed it down to my final two choices (for now). There is only a £300 price difference and was hoping someone could help me make my final decision.

Here are then major specs differences.

Intel®,Core™ i7-8850H Processor 2.6 GHz up to 4.3 GHz)                                                           Intel Core™ i7-8750H processor Hex-core

Nvidia GeForce® GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5                                                                                     Nvidia RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6

512GB M.2 SSD 1TB 7200rpm                                                                                                      512GB PCI-e SSD 2TB HDD

I'll be pushing for absolute best setting possible at 1080p (maximum supported resolution on both) in games ranging from 10 years old to the latest AAA games yet to come (looking at Cyberpunk 2077 as the next big release I can't wait for)

One is cheaper and has a better cpu while the other has an RTX 2070 (although its not stated as weather its the superior version as there seems to be 2 different ones {TU106-400A vs. TU106-400})

Any insight on the differences that can be expected in performance is greatly appreciated.

Aditional: I have no intention to overclock the 8850H if thats the one I chose. and below are the pages I've go my specs from.

The RTX 2070 should be noticeably stronger than a mobile GTX 1070. The CPU difference isn't that great. I'd take the combo on the right.

My only option to buy a laptop currently is through overclockers so anything you'd recommend I would need to be able to search for through that site

Max budget is around £2000, although one willing to pay a little more for a something really good.

Despite may plans to be constantly carrying it from place to place I'd rather sacrifice weight for cooling.

It will nearly always be plugged in so battery life is secondary.

MSI GE63 8SF also a good option alongside Aorus 15 X9, however they might run a bit hot due to 15 inch chassis
