Corsair SF600 600w 80+gold vs Corsair SF600 600w 80+plat

Galion

Both from corsair,

Both are sfx,

Both are 600w

Both are fully modular,

Both have 7yrs warranty

One is 80+ gold rated, one is 80+ platinum rated

Is the platinum rated worth the extra $20?

Does the 80+ rating make any difference?

Thanks for the advice.

the real difference between them in effecienty is a couple percents. but both are good psu's and you probebly won't make a bad choise with neither of them. but my knowledge of sfx is minimal, so I'll add @Stefan Payne and @jonnyGURU here

I actually have a few choices but not too sure of the others,

Corsair SF600 600w 80+gold/platinum

FSP Dagger 600w 80+gold

Silverstone ST600 600w 80+gold

Seasonic Focus GS 600w 80+gold

All are sfx psu needed for sff case

The Platinum version has:

Individually sleeved cables.

An SFX to ATX bracket.

An MCU controlled PWM fan for better fan curve (Gold model is thermistor controlled DC fan).

If they didn't update the Gold one, I'd get the Platinum because fan controller.

Though sadly they still don't allow the Semi Fanless mode to be switched off because there are reasons to have that disabled. For example if a HDD is above the PSU...

Personally I'd go platinum for pretty sleeved cables ($50 value on their own)
