Bungie and Activision part ways

That's good, it will stay on Battle.net for the time being.

I personally didn't like the first Halo either, but I have much different reasons then you. The level design wasn't bad, in fact it was pretty good. Yes I can see why some people would say certain things were copy-pasted, but each level still felt pretty unique to me. Combat Evolved brought more attention into FPS on consoles, and it worked. Some could argue it was a evolutionary step for FPS games. Hopefully Bungie might assist with 343 Industries for Halo, but that's still uncertain.

Why would Bungie?  Again, 343's main content guy is still the guy who created the Master Chief when he was at Bungie.  The other key people were temporarily at 343 then left, or they just left Bungie during some point of the first 3 games.  Bungie is a completely different company now, and I don't think any of the people still there had anything to do with the first 3 Halo games minus maybe like 1-2 people.  Bungie's current people wouldn't exactly help either if you bothered to play Destiny 2.

How Blizzard has been falling apart from the inside as of late, something is not working out, it appears something is not right in the Activision side.

The servers are still pretty bad.  I keep getting pulled into in-progress games, I can't block people spamming me with fireteam request because of "network errors", match matching is overall bad because of the severs, Leviathan still has the right side void bug where you randomly get pulled over, they won't do anything about the illegal network attacks in comp, and so on.  The new "dlc" forge crap is pretty bad too.  Even Datto stopped playing that portion.  My suggestion is to just play a different game until Bungie proves they have improved.

I have kind of given up on the game... (but still some hope)

My brother grabbed the game while it was free; he spent less than a month on it, and that was it.

He did mention some game issues -- I think some were the ones you mentioned.

I have a lot to do in the game, and I'm just debating rather to log in or not.  I think I'll just go play doom and quake champions instead.  At least id is trying to fix their shit.  XD Heard QC kinda went bonkers with bugs like a month ago.

Most people agree that Destiny 1 vanilla was not a good product. Once the Taken King expansion came out, people's opinion's changed, it was an acclaimed expansion.

You mean when Bungie finally added some fucking story a year later? The story itself was pretty standardized and not that good. The way it was told was not that good. The gameplay was not that good.

Yeah if Bungie is wanting to do things that way, they're just going to release more shit games.

I'd argue most people enjoy the core gameplay of Destiny, it's just everything surrounding the core gameplay that brings down the experience.

It appears now that Activision is now under investigation of "securities fraud or other unlawful business practices." after this split... Investors raised some concerns  and now "Pomerantz LLP" is involved

Saw it on https://comicbook.com/gaming/2019/01/12/activision-under-investigation-for-fraud-bungie-slit/

but the original source link is https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/shareholder-alert-pomerantz-law-firm-investigates-claims-on-behalf-of-investors-of-activision-blizzard-inc---atvi-300777066.html

Not a lot of info about it other than this being announced as an alert to shareholders and technically is an 'official notice' to everyone else.

I wouldn't put any stock in this.  Less scrupulous law firms love to say they're "investigating" claims to get their names in the headlines, but the vast majority of those announcements don't go anywhere.  They either realize they don't have a case or are too small/intimidated to actually do anything about it.  Let me know when Pomerantz files a lawsuit and then there'll be something worth discussing!

Never took a liking to D2 even when I got it for free. Right from the start, the floaty controls and unavoidable mouse acceleration reeked of console trash and I noped out even before learning about the MTX travesty.

So not sure if Bungie's independence will even be a good thing. In 2018, NetEase poured in a lot of $ into the company and now they are the largest owner by shares.

So a Destiny Immortal might not be that far off at all...

Awareness is key. Never enough, even in the face of futility. Speak the truth as if you may never get to say it again. This world is full of ugly. Change it they say. The only way is to reveal the ugly. To change the truth you must first acknowledge it. Never pretend it isn't there. Never bend the knee.

Please quote my post in your reply, so that I will be notified and can respond to it. Thanks.
