Razor Cynosa (2016?)

So, I was at my friends house and he has a razor cynosa, not sure what year but it only has blue green and I think purple LED’s... has anybody else used This? I was wondering if that is what red switches felt similar to, as it is supposedly a mem-canical keyboard, which I know is a poor representation of mechanical but still.

i had a razer cynosa before.. it had green/blue/cyan lights...i think it was the 2015 model, i forgot.

it was trash......

Still the best keyboard i’ve ever used, especially compared to my K51Neon

Also, the question wasn’t whether or not it was good, it was if it was similar to the feel of MX Red’s

you were asking if anybody used this. and i have. so i just thought of giving my 2 cents about it. but i digress.

and to answer your question. the red switches feel different compared to the cynosa... the cynosa still gives off that small kinda of squishy feeling that a membrane keyboard gives. but others can give a better answer than me.

So it is a linear switch?

yeas... they have similar feelings from the start until the middle... except at the end part.. when the key finally bottoms out.. they feel different.

It's a membrane keyboard, it'll feel somewhat similar to a linear switch but not exactly.

 

I'm encouraging you to avoid it.  Even though it does look like a decent keyboard, it's still very expensive for a membrane keyboard.  You could probably get an actual MX Red keyboard for not much more and you'll enjoy that more.

It won't be.  Browns would actually be more accurate (but still slightly off).

membranes dont make something mushy, the mushy feeling is from the plunger bottoming out on a dome. If you're saying membranes are mushy then youre saying the model m is mushy when you bottom out.
