Yo I need help with windows denying access to basically anything thats in the WindowsApps folder... I had this error (pic below with nvidia control panel as example) before, and it was so annoying after a while that i ended up clean installing the os again. Last time I tried the following to solve this (none of them worked): - editing permissions in properties/security (my windows account was already there, so i added everyone as full control) - take-ownership script - installing pending windows updates - repairing the os from an install image - DDUing the vga driver (im sure i tried some other things as well, but nothing significant comes to mind) At first I thought it was because my RAM XMP was slightly unstable, and some bug occurred when the system crashed, so i tuned it back and when after a month or so passed and it appeared rock solid, i wiped the system disk and installed a clean windows. It solved the problem (for a while).. then today (around 3 months after the installation), it just appeared again.. the system did not crash a single time, everything appeared to be working, then i shut down my pc and when i turned it back on, there was the message on my screen right after logging into windows... Yes, i tried to google the problem, but everything that comes up talks about a simple permission not being set.. my problem is much deeper than that, so that wont help.. I also tried to ask on the microsoft forum, but all i got as reply was "change the permissions, if that does not help, then clean install windows".. Since i dont want to reinstall the os and all my apps on a 2-3 month basis, i hope someone here can help me some things to note: - i have an administrator account - no other accounts are present, and windows denies access even after UAC prompt - it literally happened with no warning after a restart cycle (no windows updates, no driver updates..) - it does not affect anything else (as far as i know) but the WindowsApps folder.. - last time it also affected Vanguard (riot anti-cheat software), but it appears not to be the case this time i guess it doesnt matter in this case, but here are my pc specs anyways: - Ryzen 9 3900x - 32GB G.skill trident z neo 3600Mhz 4x8GB kit (runs at 3400 and slightly altered timings, because the XMP was unstable [also i had this problem with another ram kit as well, that also crashed after overclocking.. hence i thought it was related, but as i said, this time there was no crash or weird behavior before the problem came up]) - Asrock Taichi x570 - MSI gaming x GTX 1080 Ti - Samsung 980 1tb system drive (this problem occurred on an older sata ssd as well [same system except RAM])

There was a small incident. I bought the recently released MacBook Air on M1 by first googling whether it supports Microsoft's office. I saw that there is an office and everything is fine, but only after a while I realized that this office is stripped down, there are only basic things like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc. I understand that there was never Microsoft Access on the Mac, it is exclusively on Windows and it is not a problem for me to download parallels and install Windows on it and I will run access through it, but the question torments me and I just can't find the answer. Of course, an ARM chip needs a Windows that works on the arm architecture, and yes, there is one, but does the Microsoft Access work on it?

Hi everyone, I may have messed up my NAS, slightly. I have an old PC turned NAS in my storage room. It has been with me for more than two years now without major issues. There is one thing; occasionally, my computer wouldn't connect to it. No real idea as to why, but it did seem as to more of a networking/router issue than with either devices. The simple fix to the issue was, use the phone to login to web interface of nas and simply ping the IP of the computer. Once that was done, it instantly connected to the shares as if nothing was ever wrong. The NAS also runs a plex server, and my TV would run it without a hitch regardless of the computer's vision status of the NAS. Being in a tinkering move I figured, if i ran a task on the NAS that pings the PC occasionally, this should make all the problems go away. Logged in, went to advanced, cron, typed in ping and the IP and selected about 18 hours during the day where I might be using the PC for the task to run. Didn't save it, just figured I'd try it out so I hit run. Since then, I am unable to login to the web of the NAS regardless of what I do or what device I use. The plex server still functions normally and, somewhat ironically, the shares seem to be accessible throughout the day. Any ideas on what could give me access once again? Is there some other fix to my problem once I do eventually manage to login?

Hey, I've activated the administrator account with command prompt, but no password was requested to change. So I signed out of my profile and tried to sign in to the administrator account, just to realize that there's a password on it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? If not necessary I don't want to reset my PC. Now I realized that I should have changed the password before I activated the account. Windows 10 Home 64bit (10.0.19043 Build 19043) Thank you.

yo i have a weird question... Anyone here real familiar with data validation rules in access? basically i wanna make it so that the first character of the "customer ID" must be the capital letter at the start of the "customer name". then the next 4 characters need to be the last 4 digits of the customer's "social security number" The stuff in quotes are existing fields, all of which have data validations of their own (ie first letter of "customer name" must be capital)

Hello. Have been using an old wireless router for several years now. Awhile ago noticed that sometimes it would limit my download speed by a lot but would refuse access to its interface if I tried to access it. Only restarting router fixes those issues. It has to be done so manually because it does not have option to schedule self-restart. But it's only a temporary solution until router starts behaving like I described above. Usually takes a week or so for that to start happening Does anyone have any idea?

Hi all, big fan of LTT and MacAddress for a while, but I'm new here and a tech noob. Working on the issue for a day already, could really use some help. Rather long so please be patient... Problem: I cannot access my drives, files, some of my applications, and a lot of Windows included apps. Not even file explorer. It displays the message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file" error when you try to install, update or start a program or file" when I click on anything. For some applications or windows utilities, it displays "The file does not have an app associated with it for performing this actions. Please install an app." What I am trying to do: gain access so I can backup files then possibly reset the computer The Prerequisite Problem: This issue arose when I was trying to fix the frozen windows taskbar and home button issue, which now is only partially fixed. When trying to fix that issue, I used the following commands and changes. I'm thinking that one (or the combination of a couple) of my previous actions solving the taskbar problem resulted in the mess I have now, these are not in order: “Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”} removed my most recent windows update on March 12th with command appwiz.cpl followed this tutorial: ran msconfig to restarted PC in safe mode followed this tutorial before using batch file (till around 17m): ran dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth ran regedit to registry>HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT>Permissions>set ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES to Full control and Read What I can't do specifically: access C drive, D Drive, F Drive access file explorer access internet (both WIFI and wired, apparently the icon is gone and flat line in task manager and in settings) access external drives some system utilities run systemreset (prompts that something went wrong after choosing reset with data) run sfc /scannow (says does not have permission even after Windows Modules Installer enabled) What I can do: use and launch command with task managers, along with the array of things that can be launched or utilized by task managers restart in safe mode and bios launch some of the applications on desktop and taskbar save registry files to desktop What I have already tried: Checked out a similar thread by Relentless Seeker already, but it doesn't seem to help. created new admin (still can't access) went to individual folders and work on their permission settings (they all appear to be normal, I deleted mine and changed it back but no use) My system: Windows 64 bit Ryzen 3600 Zotac 2060 MSI B450 Mortar Max MB Corsair Vengeance 8x2 3200 RAM Intel 660p 1T EVGA 700W PSU Thanks in advance!!!

Hey there, I am looking for a PC Case that I can use for a backup/spare/test rig PC. I have my main gaming rig complete but I want to have a case with a PSU, SSD, AiO Cooler that stay in it so I can "hot-swap" Motherboards/Ram/CPU to test builds and components with. I would like for the case to be as small as possible but I'd value ease of access over size if it came down to it, the case MUST support standard ATX motherboards. I will be switching from Intel to AMD motherboards OFTEN to test different CPU's so being able to get my hands in there without it being a time consuming PIA is a big deal. I was originally looking at open-air test bench "cases" but since this will be used in bursts and then sitting for a long time I want something that wont accumulate so much dust on the components, easier to dust off the top of a case than compressed air an open rig, plus I can't seem to find any decent ones in stock anywhere. This one looked cool. I have been quite pleased with the accessibility on my gaming rig: ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 Mid-Tower but that's a bit overkill and larger than what I'd like for this test rig. Any recommendations are welcome! Ease of access is my biggest concern.

I have a very basic FTP Server set up for sharing movies.I am using ICC. Authorization is Basic. Can someone tell me how to access my FTP site remotely (different network)? I can access it on the Host PC. Need help And also say if my site has some movies in it. I am accessing it from elsewhere with another internet connection say "X". By theory, my Host PC won't incur any Download Usage right? Only the receiver end will get subjected to Download Usage. Correct me if I'm wrong

I have a 2014 model mac book pro. I recently round these files while scrolling through my hard drive. Would apple please care to explain WHY I can not open the files ON MY COMPUTER? Is there something they do not want me to know? I found these files under; Macintosh HD; Libary; Caches. This is not any sort of Crypto RansomWare.

So, I'm trying to remove Title info of a movie file I have in the file properties as it's what Emby is reading as the movie name but it's incorrect. When I right click and go to properties>details>remove properties and personal information and then check "Title" and then okay it's prompting that I need administrator permission. So I click "continue" and then it says denied. " You require permission from "my computer username." I checked the permissions and ownership of the file in question and it's my username so I don't know why it's not allowing me to change.

Hey guys, I am wanting to build some sort of database for tracking everything about my personal economy, paychecks, being able to type in receipts so I can track my spending, how much money is being spent on what and so on. the features I am wanting to build include this - Being able to import my online banking transaktion statement that can be downloaded as xlsx - Inputting my incomes from different jobs - Keeping track of my sports betting, yes I bet money and I want to track it - Being able to make graphs and what not with all the accumulated data that I will be collecting after using this database/program for a few months I'd like it to be free as the reason for me doing this is mostly for fun and a bit to just keep track of my finances. I have the office pack for personal and school use so I have Microsoft Access but have read that they're discontinuing the software. Hope you guys have some suggestions that aren't too complicated to use, I don't mind doing some formulas and such, but I'd prefer to stay away from directly programming.

Hello everyone I am currently looking for a free way to access my files from home, on an android device. Basically, I want to access video files, movies etc, on my pc at home, whilst I'm out and about. Can anyone point me in the direction of free, not paid, solutions? Preferably that they have used. Most of the stuff I can find is where I need to be on the same network, or are data capped. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I built yesterday a new PC for my parents. I copied all important data to the PC and almost everything works as expected. The only file that causes headaches is a Microsoft Office .mdb file in 32-bit which I can't open in Access 64-bit. My parents use that DB as member management tool and got it from their predecessor. I haven't really used Access and couldn't find anything 'simple' with google that works. How can I convert the mdb-File into 64-bit? I guess uninstalling Office (64-bit) and reinstalling (32-bit) would be an option, but that would affect Word, Excel and so on aswell...
