I recently reinstalled Windows. I reinstalled the Origin program, however BF1 (my only Origin game) was on a different drive. I reinstalled Origin on the new Windows install, and changed the game file directory to the location of BF1, but nothing changed. My only option for the game is still "download". I really want to avoid downloading 60GB of game again. How can I get it to actually find the game?

Hello Internet, I brought Need for speed in 2015 few days after its launch, i never had problems playing the game on xbox one controller using a 6 feet cable so i could play on the couch if need be, however since the recent update the controls on the game have gone haywire, the car auto accelerates, brakes, turns, spins, reverses and so on automatically basically i look dumb with the controller not being able to control, i have latest drivers for xbox one controller updated them using xbox windows store app, tried switching cables to a smaller length, unplugged the keyboard to just play with the controller but nothing seems to be helping the issue persists me like a nightmare, its a great game and best played on controller but unable to do so in frustration i also wrote origin found no answer, some youtube videos where they suggest to change sensitivity on the in game settings for the controller but doesnt help either. Any one of you had the same trouble out there and found a solution please share i would be greatful. Regards Akram...

Anyone know how to fix this issue? Origin stuck at calculating, when i transfer files from my laptop to PC for BF1. It does discover the existing files but does not move forward. Things i tried: Run Origin as Admin Uninstall / Installed Origin again Tried that 1 % download method ( where u install 1 % on PC and replace the files with full installation files by copy/paste ) Clean origin cache. Thanks.

I recently purchased Star Wars Battlefront for PC. When I went to install origin, I get a window with a loading animation, then the window turns white and stays that way. I've turned off anivirus and firewall, tried reinstalling the setup, deleted origin related files in users, and it is still not working. This is my first experience with PC gaming and I would not like it to be a bad one. Any ideas?

I'm a very patient person. Haven't even played AC Black Flag yet. Intend to re-play the previous games at 21:9 before I get to it. But point being I'm a very patient person. Battlefield is £25 on Origin. How cheap do Origin games get? Is it worth buying it now? The Ultimate and Deluxe editions are also on sale. Are the price differences worth it? Refer to: https://www.origin.com/gbr/en-us/store/battlefield/battlefield-1/standard-edition Ultimate: £70 Deluxe: £33 Standard: £25 (approx. prices) What makes the other versions so special? Based on the descriptions, I gather that the Deluxe just has DLC, which I can wait for until it's cheaper to buy separately. and Ultimate has a Premium Pass. What's that? Is it one of those yearly passes you pay for online? If so, I won't get Battlefield in this lifetime. I have some self-respect EA. I really don't understand why the Ultimate edition is so expensive. Then again, Standard and Deluxe are pretty expensive as well. The days of discs are over, it costs them maybe £0.01 to sell me the game (in electricity bill). Anyways, I don't intend to turn this into a rant about how expensive games are. Saying that though I used to buy £40 games when I was younger, with my mum's money. Feeling guilty.

Why can't I install origin? I'm so angry right now! I've tried everything!! If you could see my tabs right now you will just see 50 EA Origin tabs. Please! Can somebody help? I keep getting the 19:0 error 'Woops the installer encountered and error' I've tried running as administrator, clean booting, uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting pc, clearing cache files, disabling firewall and avast, using different setup.exe's and much more. This is really getting on my nerves because I just bought a new game but I can't even play it! It's driving my crazy. I've literally spent this whole day trying to fix it. I also still have a lot of origin files that I cannot delete for some reason

I was just debugging why the origin website refused to load on firefox even though i had disabled every add on i run, so i opened it in microsoft edge and voila it worked. i get confronted with the typical cookie setting banner and as always i open it to set it to functional only. this time for funsies i decide to take a deeper look at the cookies i enable when i have it on the bare minimum, no statistics nothing. and on the bottom of the list i emediatly find a site statistics cookie(comScore u.mdotlabs.com, u.mdotlabs.com). (atleast i think this is statistics since it says so in the description of it). I'm really confused, why is this allowed when on functional only? this is clearly not a functionality cookie. i found other cookies such as SQUARESPACE(web design/hosting company)? jetblue(aviation company)? and cookies from a company that it lists as "Unknown", when i expand it it also states "Unknown" with after that a link to the privacy policy for the cookie vendor which leads to a 404 error. this just reeks of bad design and shittyness if you ask me. not even to mention that the service they use for cookie preferences called TRUSTe takes a HORRIBLY long time to update cookie preferences (it took me more than 5 minutes how hard can it be?). can somebody who knows wtf they are talking about explain to me if there is a good reason behind this or if this really is what it looks like at face value? TL;DR: are these cookies origin website forces with the bare minimum cookie setting justified or bullshit? also this is at the start of saving preferences: and this is when its almost finished: how in the world does this process take so incredibly long?

Hey all! So I'm currently in the market for a second laptop. I already own a Lenovo Legion Y530 and it works well. However, I'm wanting something more powerful for my second machine. I was looking at the Origin EVO 16-S, but then I noticed that the Sager NP8966 NOTEBOOK uses the same Clevo chasis. The prices are ridiculously different, too. Base model price (at the time of writing): Sager: $1549 500gb SSd 16gb RAM (Dual Channel I think?) 144 hz 16.1" display Rtx 2060 9th gen i7 9750H Origin: $1824 240gb SSd 8gb RAM single Channel 144 hz 16.1" display Rtx 2060 9th gen it 9750H There is a pretty obvious Origin tax. Is there any reason on God's green earth that someone would pick Origin over Sager for that kind if a premium? (Customer service aside) I've owned a Sager laptop in the past and LOVED it. I'm fairly comfortable applying quality thermal paste and making sure everything on the inside of the laptop is plugged in properly (like WiFi cards, keyboard ribbons, etc) so that doesn't worry me. Also, I think it would be very interesting if LMG made a video on this topic in detail. I legit want to know if there's any value in paying a brand tax like this. Thanks!

Hi! After installing a fresh batch of Pop!_OS on my desktop (specs below), I came to an issue with logging into Origin as it showed the "Online login is unavailable" bar after installing it on Lutris (newest version) (Wine is installed). I tried using updateorigin.sh through the Terminal, but didn't change the situation. (Other games seem to be running fine on Lutris and Steam) I tried searching the Pop!_OS subreddit along with a bit of googling, also no help. Help? ? PC Specs: i5-7500 @ 3.4 GHz, Quad-core MSI H110M PRO-D, BIOS up to date HyperX 8GB DDR4-2133 CL14-14-14 (Single module) (HX421C14FB/8) MSI GTX 1050 Ti OC 4GT Be Quiet! Pure Power 9 500W Transcend SSD230S 128GB WD Blue 1TB (HDD) OS: Pop!_OS 64-bit, Gnome version 3.32.2, drivers seem to be up to date.

please read all details as i am fairly experienced and have likely already tried a run-of-the-mill troubleshooting suggestion that you may have off the top of your head. specs: R9 Fury X, water cooled i7-4790K CPU, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 144hz ASUS monitor. i have benchmarked this PC to hell and back and i know that in battlefield 1 on ultra, my fps never dips below the high 70's - low 80's at it's absolute worst. same exact benchmark with star wars battlefront 2. in battlefield v, the fps never dips below these same numbers on high settings. about a week ago i noticed some subtle issues with my gaming pc. battlefield v, battlefield 1, and star wars battlefront 2 were running dipping 15-20fps lower than usual, and sometimes in graphically busy areas, the fps seemed much lower than what was displayed on the counter (70-80 fps felt more like 40fps). i tried benchmarking GTA V to see if this was happening outside of origin games, and it was. GTA also felt choppier and was hitting 15-20 fps lower than usual in demanding areas. i have tried every possible software and hardware related fix, EVER. i have: rolled back AMD drivers to previous versions reinstalled graphics drivers with DDU formatted D drive where games were installed factory reset the entire PC updated mobo BIOS to the latest version air dusted all PC internals (got a lot of dust out, too) overclocked CPU by 15% made sure power settings were set to high performance here's a few strange things i noticed after some experimenting. the fps drops come and go. there have been 3 different times now where i thought i had finally fixed the issue. then the next day or a few hours later, the fps drops would return again. i tested my hardware on userbenchmark and all hardware scored a 90% or above. both CPU and GPU temps reported via MSI afterburner are excellent. GTA V runs fine after a fresh bootup. however, once BF1, BFV, or battlefront starts having fps issues, GTA also has fps loss upon trying the game afterwards. after shutting down the PC for about 10 minutes, GTA appears to run fine again. however, restarting the computer or shutting down and turning it back on again too quickly does not get rid of fps issues. i thought that the fps might be getting worse overtime during each gaming session, but that does not appear to be the case. after leaving GTA on for an hour after a fresh bootup, i came back to still find no fps issues. battlefront was also running butter smooth today, barely dipping below 100fps in a huge map on all high settings. however, upon turning the settings to ultra (my usual setting), the game freaked out and started hitting 50-60fps. this caused GTA's fps to decrease upon launching it after battlefront, and the problems would not reside until i shut the PC down for 10 minutes. i want to say it's a hardware issue but that wouldn't make sense. if hardware was damaged, the games would be performing terribly or not performing at all, instead of underperforming by 15-20fps like mine is. also, it shouldn't be performing fine sometimes and sometimes not, as i've described above. technology should be binary: it either works or it doesn't. however, i don't see how it could possibly be a software issue either, as i've rolled back and reinstalled graphics drivers before nuking the entire PC with a full factory reset (and even updated BIOS) which should solve any software conflicts. if it was an optimization issue specifically with the origin games, then why would it be causing fps loss in GTA, a steam game? i'm completely stumped. i've solved countless performance issues in the past but i actually don't see how this is even possible.

can't install any games because origin says click yes when uac pops up when downloading. no solutions work that are available online so i tried debugging it myself and it seems to be related to qtwebengineprocess. the debug file in origin says [0210/130112:WARNING:resource_bundle_qt.cpp(114)] locale_file_path.empty() for locale what can I do about this? I don't think its a file permission issue. the backend software cant communicate with my file directory.

Hello Everyone, Today I got a new hard drive - a Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM008 2TB, and after transferring everything from my old drive to my new one, it seems that I can't launch any games that are stored on the drive. I have uninstalled Steam and all my games and reinstalled Geometry Dash, CS:GO and Rocket League as tests. CS:GO is installed on my SSD and loads completely fine when I launch it, Geometry Dash also works completely fine, Rocket League though, launches and then 5 seconds later crashes, the same thing also happens to other large games like Battlefield 1 and Rainbow Six Siege. Only the games the are larger than Geometry Dash aren't working and crash after a few seconds, i've also verified integrity of game files and restarted my PC multiple times but it didn't do anything. I made sure that the installation paths are all correct but nothing will work. I appreciate any help from anybody. Thanks in advance. EDIT: THIS HAS BEEN SOLVED - When I was swapping the drive letters, I had to temporarily remove the page file. Just then I remembered that I forgot to recreate it, so when i was trying to launch anything, my system had no page file and everything that needed it would crash because there was insignificant system memory. i made a new page file on my new drive and everything is working perfectly.
