  1. I highly doubt this is the correct location for this, but no one has been able to help me anywhere I asked so this is a last resort. I've been getting a lot of errors in many programs lately, I believe they all relate to my gpu. OBS encoder has been crashing with this log: 16:16:51.736: ==== Streaming Start =============================================== 16:16:51.741: obs-browser[2]: API: performing call to 'getSystemCPUUsageTimes', callback id 41 16:16:51.741: obs-browser[2]: API: completed call to 'getSystemCPUUsageTimes', callback id 41 16:16:51.741: obs-browser[2]: API: performing call to 'getSystemMemoryUsage', callback id 42 16:16:51.741: obs-browser[2]: API: completed call to 'getSystemMemoryUsage', callback id 42 16:16:51.741: obs-browser[2]: API: performing call to 'getSystemHardwareProperties', callback id 43 16:16:51.742: obs-browser[2]: API: completed call to 'getSystemHardwareProperties', callback id 43 16:16:51.769: [jim-nvenc] get_encoded_packet: nv.nvEncLockBitstream(s, &lock) failed: 8 (NV_ENC_ERR_INVALID_PARAM) 16:16:51.769: Error encoding with encoder 'streaming_h264' 16:16:51.769: [rtmp stream: 'adv_stream'] Encoder error, disconnecting 16:16:51.769: Output 'adv_stream': stopping 16:16:51.769: Output 'adv_stream': Total frames output: 0 16:16:51.769: Output 'adv_stream': Total drawn frames: 53 16:16:51.769: warning: 2 frames left in the queue on closing 16:16:51.770: obs-browser[2]: API: posting call to 'getSystemCPUUsageTimes', callback id 44, args: [] 16:16:51.770: obs-browser[4]: CONSOLE: Stream is not started (source: https://obs.streamelements.com/yoink/static/mediaRequest.7b28b375074e78075877.bundle.js?e3bc7bce8ab71e0a53a8:2) 16:16:51.770: obs-browser[2]: API: posting call to 'getSystemMemoryUsage', callback id 45, args: [] 16:16:51.770: obs-browser[2]: API: posting call to 'getSystemHardwareProperties', callback id 46, args: [] 16:16:51.772: ==== Streaming Stop ================================================ I also play VALORANT, and it has been crashing as well. And finally I was able to open an issue in Visual Studio (not sure if any of these are related) which gives me this error: "Exception thrown at 0x00007FFC4AEE2F06 (WindowManagementAPI.dll) in : 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000000130." I've tried running things as an admin, this didn't fix it either. List of things I've tried: - Updating graphics drivers - Reinstalling graphics drivers - Restarting the computer - Reseating the graphics card - Overclocking, Underclocking, Factory Resetting and Undervolting the graphics card - Scanning for viruses/malware - Booting into safe mode I feel like I'm out of options at this point, can anyone help me or is my graphics card just broken?
  2. Hi, I just upgraded my computer, it worked fine for just over 2 weeks, but now I'm getting random crashes, the computer will just shut off, only sometimes giving me a BSOD, often after this the BIOS won't detect any boot drives and I will need to restart it a couple of times to it working again. The PC will also crash sometimes when starting up a game, I did have XMP enabled to run my RAM at 3600Mhz (no other settings changed) but have since tuned it back off, this has lead to less frequent crashes. Also when turning the motherboards EZ System Tuning to anything higher then normal, it will just show a black screen after the windows logo. I also have a problem with one of my storage drives, it's a Toshiba 2TB HDD (just storage dive not set up in any type of RAID), sometimes the PC will not boot with it installed, sometimes not even posting to the BIOS. system will still crash when drive is not installed though. In the device manager it was showing PCI Device and SM bus controller drivers where missing, I have since installed those drivers, Device manager is also showing another driver missing but it is listed as 'Unknown Device' I'm not sure what driver to get to fix this. System Spec: OS: Windows 10 Home Edition 64bit Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming Z490-PLUS CPU: Intel i9-10850k GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti Xtreme Edition 11GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance PRO DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3600Mhz (in slots A2, B2) PSU: Corsair CS650M 650W (this is about 6 years old) OS SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB If anyone can help me work out what the problem is that would be great. thank you
  3. I recently switched to a new system as an upgrade for work (and for gaming). Before the switch, my GPU hadn't had any issues the entire time I have owned it (nearly 2 years now). But since putting it in my new system, it randomly crashes when been used heavily, weather its gaming or rendering for work. My old system was Intel based and my new one is AMD, I've already spent some time trying to solve this myself and found someone who recommended a jayztwocents video where he used a DDU to clear all the old intel drivers from my system. At first, that seemed to do the trick, I was crash free for 3 days, but today it has started to crash again. Any thoughts would be appreciated (also I'm not super savvy on all the tech and computer terms so, plain speak as much as possible thanks)
  4. So here's the deal. I am have a brand new rig, all fresh hardware, and I've been having bizarre crashing issues. My monitors will flicker, then the computer will freeze up, and eventually I'm forced to turn it off and back on using the power switch. During these crashes, the fans generally keep going, and sometimes the keyboard/mouse will remain powered on, other times the mouse/keyboard also lose power. When I look in the event viewer after the fact, there is nothing there except for a kernel power error indicating that the PC was forced to shut down due to power loss. I have very little to go on. These crashes typically happen when I'm running something taxing on the system. The fastest way I've been able to cause a failure is by running CyberPunk and streaming it to a friend on Discord. These crashes aren't purely limited to intensive gaming though, I've had the system crash while doing relatively light work, or even just while I'm on the desktop and haven't started up a single application, however it is definitely most common when gaming. The other strange thing is that sometimes I can get the system running for a few hours, and then suddenly it will crash. If I try to reboot and start up the same game I was playing when it crashed, it will crash again almost immediately. If I let it sit over night and try again, often I can get a few more hours out of it until it crashes. I've been monitoring my temperatures and even right up until the moment before a crash occurs, nothing is overheating. The hottest my GPU has gotten is around 61 degrees, and my CPU is usually around the same temp, sometimes reaching 65. Overall nothing to be worried about. I have made sure all drivers and updates are current, I've tried rolling back to older versions of the NVIDIA drivers, I have tried lowering my RAM speed in my BIOS, and I've also made sure to disconnect all hardware aside from my mouse/keyboard to ensure it wasn't some other type of weird hardware issue. I've even reinstalled windows from scratch. When I remove the GPU and run the system using just the motherboard's output to a monitor the crashes stop. Obviously it can't run games very well if at all, but it simply chugs along and doesn't crash the system. I've tried swapping the motherboard, the PSU, and have greatly increased the cooling in the system. Nothing seems to solve the problem. At this point I'm concerned that I have a dead GPU or that something else is wrong. Is it possible that a 750W PSU is not enough to run the system? I'm sincerely at a loss. any help or recommendations you can offer would be greatly appreciated. The build list is as follows: Motherboard: Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Elite AC CPU: Intel Core Processor i9-10900K 10/20 3.70GHz [Turbo 5.2GHz] 20MB Cache LGA1200 GPU: GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X (Ampere) [VR Ready] (Single Card) RAM: 32GB (16GBx2) DDR4/3600MHz Dual Channel Memory (Team T-Force Delta RGB) PSU: Corsair RM 750W OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Serie H100i RGB PLATINUM 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler Case: IN WIN 303 Mid Tower High Air Flow Gaming Case w/ Tempered Glass Full Size Window [-20]
  5. Specs: Ryzen 9 5900x MSI RTX 3080 I've had a VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR BSOD once just when I updated the MSI 3080 to a new nvidia driver, so I dont know If i did something wrong building this PC but, everything works fine still. 10000000_2954749444746384_4031519277109495206_n.mp4
  6. I got this crash like about 5-10 times in both battlefield 2042 and forza horizon 5 The game runs perfectly fine and then the movement just stops but i can still move the mouse around and the game just crashes
  7. My PC occasionally crashes when I'm playing games. When it crashes, it gets shut-down abruptly, like what would happen if I pulled the plug out of the socket, or an overheat protection. No blue screen, freezes, not even error messages on the subsequent start up. Just a sudden power down,. Specifically, it seems to always happen when I'm loading something, here are some examples that I've noticed: Shop Titans - once while loading up the game from Steam Subnautica: Below Zero - multiple times when I'm picking an item up into my inventory, probably a couple times when I'm entering/leaving a vehicle or a base GTA V - couple times when loading a mission, iirc Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 - couple times when loading into the simulation I've also noticed that once the game has been loaded, it seems to run fine if I avoid doing the problematic interactions like picking up stuff in Subnautica. I never get crashes while doing general computing (web surfing, coding up and running stuff in PyCharm, using Microsoft Office etc.). I'm pretty sure it is not an overheating related issue, as the crashes happen even for low-end games, and my temperatures never exceed 80 for CPU and 85 for GPU (they're usually around 60-70 for CPU and 75-80 for GPU). Here are my PC specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X NZXT Kraken Z63 280mm AIO Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro-P Zotac GTX 1070Ti mini 2 x (G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL16-19-19-39 F4-3600C16D-16GTZNC) - 4 x 8GB sticks in total, XMP disabled EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G3, 80 Plus Gold 850W 500GB Samsung Evo 860 SSD 4TB Toshiba HDD I suspect it has something to do with the RAM, as I got some issues when I enabled XMP (Windows took forever to start up), but I've run Windows Memory Diagnostics a couple times and can't seem to find any issue. Don't think its a GPU, PSU, or storage issue either, as I've had them as part of an upgrade to my old Dell pre-built (i7-4770), and there were no crashes then. The crashes only started when I upgraded my CPU, motherboard, and RAM into the current configuration. I got more performance but occasional crashes since then. Any ideas what is the issue, and how can I fix this?
  8. Hey guys. Long-time lurker, first time making a topic. Could really use your input. TLDR at the bottom. I recently upgraded my hardware and started having weird issues with my GTX 1080. I was not having these issues prior to upgrading. MSI Z97 Gaming 5 -> MSI Z590-A Pro 4790K -> 11600KF G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 32GB 2x16 DDR4 2666, Timings 19-19-19-43. Stock settings for troubleshooting purposes Gigabyte GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G Seasonic FOCUS PX-750, 750W 80+ Platinum Windows 10 => Windows 11 Clean Install, all drivers uptodate Bios is set to factory settings. No overclocks. The problem is Artifacts which ultimately results in the game crashing and the GPU hanging with errors like DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG in DX12 titles. Timespy failing mid run. Unigine Heaven artifacts. See this youtube video for the kind of artifacts I was seeing in Heaven: GPU temps are fine, in the neighborhood of upper 60 to lower 70c. The ONLY thing that would solve the problem is underclocking the GPU core. Memory made no difference, which I found odd for what limited knowledge I have on artifacting, which usually is a VRAM issue. I ultimately landed on an underclock of only 25Mhz! That seems awfully low an underclock to solve the issue. I even went as far as updating to the latest VBIOS for this specific model, as it had some slight clock differences, but it made no difference whatsoever. So i'm thinking the GPU has just degraded over time, as it is a second hand unit from someone who never mined. Doing what any desperate gamer would do, I entered the Newegg Shuffle on Monday morning. Was selected (Apparently its possible, hang in there!) and purchased an ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3060 Ti V2 OC Edition LHR, and received it 2 days later. With the new GPU installed, all problems solved. Knowing the 1080 seems to run fine slightly underclocked, I brought it over to my friends house who is running a B550/Ryzen 5 3600/GTX 1660. I explained he would need to underclock it slightly. So we ran DDU in safemode, installed the card and latest drivers. (Same drivers I was running BTW), and underclocked it to -25 in MSI Afterburner. We tested out ARK, Monster Hunter Rise, & Rocket League. We ran Heaven Extreme, no artifacts. All the while he is drooling over his new FPS. He runs 1440p monitors and I run 1080p. So no doubt he was stressing the card more than I would be, but everything ran without a hitch. So we removed the underclock, and lo and behold, no heaven artifacts. No issues whatsoever. So I'm thinking, what is different about his system. He has an AMD system, B450 with PCIe Gen 3. My system is a x570 with Gen 4. So that got me to thinking, and I went home to look at my BIOS settings. PEG0 - Max Link Speed [Auto] PCI Latency Timer [32 PCI Bus Clocks] GTX 1080 is PCIe Gen 3. Could that have been the problem all along? Some kind of negotiation issues? Did I really just purchase a new overpriced $669 GPU (before tax, admittedly not a terrible price all things considered) in this crazy market, winning the Newegg Shuffle on my first try, and it was just a BIOS setting causing my issues all along??? I'm still dumbfounded by the whole ordeal. Not sure if I can sleep tonight not having the 1080 in hand to test these BIOS settings. Asking friend if he would be willing to bring the card so I can try changing link speeds. Or should I even bother? TLDR Have you ever seen PCIe Link speeds in bios cause artifacts and game crashing? x570 is PCIe Gen 4, Bios was set to AUTO. GTX 1080 is Gen 3.

There is no issue whatsoever while doing those things. The moment I start using whatever internet browser, my computer completely crashes and I am forced to do hard shut down. I just did a complete Windows re-installation and deleted everything from my hard drives. I installed the regular softwares I used to have and games, and while surfing through the web to download the rest of the stuff (NO, NO PORN!) it crashed on me again. Although, as I am typing this, I have watched youtube videos and created this account and wrote all this with no problem. So that leaves me with the same headache of either software or hardware or maybe it got fixed and that first crashed was probably the last hiccup.. When it starts to happen, my screen goes black then shows image then it works for a bit then freezes. Sometimes it turns black then image comes back up and then freezes immediately. (I have not Overclocked neither my CPU or GPU, only thing I have done is allow my pc to use all 3600mhz instead of 2.3mghz like every newly built PC happens. Anyone know what might be the issue? My setup can handle Warzone in 2k with medium settings at average of 57fps so for an internet browser to be crashing on me is kinda like a WTF moment. I finally found something I want to do which is 3D modeling designs for 3D printers but my pc keeps freezing on me.

My drivers are up to date I think, I downloaded all of the drivers a month ago and I made sure my CPU drivers were up to date by possibly redownloading and overwriting. So, what happened was the first error was "driver not less or equal" second error was "kmode not an exception" or something like that. I don't know what is going on but I can't play doom eternal and it's really annoying. I haven't tested any other game yet but it either restarts or gives a BSOD. Can someone help me because apparently the official PCMR discord won't help me or anything, they just keep ignoring me. I tried it again and it said "Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal
  11. So I've got Windows 11 installed on a WD Black SN750 500GB NVMe SSD. I used a 2tb WD Blue 5400RPM that I've had since 2017 for mass storage of games, movies, downloads, clips and everything in between. Recently (even when I was on Windows 10) my OS has been acting a bit funny. It randomly freezes and certain functions just won't work like opening the start menu, and refreshing the desktop would make all the apps disappear. it'll take a long time to restart or shudown. Windows explorer will sometimes just lock up and make my whole screen to white. When it happened on windows 10 it went away after a day or 2. I did use the SFC /scannow and the DISM online restorehealth commands which both say they were complete and restored files. I've also tried defragging the drive after it started working again on windows 10. It analysed and optimiser but said the drive was 2% fragmented and it would not go away no matter how many times I used the windows tool to defrag. But it still happens. On windows 11 there was one instance where the drive disappeared and then next boot it reappeared It's weird because it was fine for a few weeks since it happened on windows 10 but now it's happening again. The windows 11 is a fresh install. Even my GPU driver breaks and I think it may be because the instant replay is set to record to my HDD and it's set to use the disk storage as the buffer too instead of system ram. I'm guessing it's a dying HDD or a damaged SATA cable/connection on the HDD, but I'd like to hear what you guys think and if any of you had anything like this before. Thank you
  12. I have a problem with my PC. If it is on heavy load it sometimes Crashes, so it reboots but without bluescreen. In Event Viewer i found an error Code 11 that says that the driver found an error on the Storagecontroller from the Mainboard. I have testet the RAM with memtest and the all of the SSDs are new , they are 980Pros from Samsung and i did run Diskmark a few times on them but without error. The CPU is a ryzen 95900x, i did a 1Hour Cinebench run also no problems. The Graphicscard i testet with e few 3D mark runs. BIOS and Drivers are upgraded to the newest version and Windows setup is also fresh. So the problem really just exists when gaming a few games. And i cant find an error when stresstesting the system. Does anybody has an idea what i could do to find the error?

Eventually i managed to get over these but the games kept crashing every time after a while, temperatures are below 80 c and i am able to play on ultra most games at 120+fps no problem before crashing. It doesn't happen systematically every time though, sometimes i'm able to play multiple matches without crashing. BSOD codes that i got: SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL And many different ones but i did not write them down, im sorry. Note: The system is not overclocked at all, uefi bios configs are default configs and i have already reinstalled windows 10, Runs perfectly on ULTRA settings on Heaven benchmark 3D Mark Result (0 Crashes)- https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/63766224 My Troubleshooting My first thought was that there was a problem with the new 1070, but since i managed to use it perfectly, I don't think that's the case, so I reinstalled all drivers, formatted both SSD and HDD, reinstalled windows, and games all along. i downgraded games graphics and it runs for longer periods of time, but my gpu should be able to manage them perfectly. I thought it was a cooling issue but neither the CPU nor the GPU reached 80 degrees, so im not sure. i tested my pc for corrupt files none found, I tested the RAM and as well not a single error. When i plugged in a second display it sometimes started malfunctioning, turning on and off, so I unplugged that and nothing changed. GPU Driver At that point maybe it was a driver issue, so I updated every GPU driver and nothing happened Faulty HDD= Windows is installed on an SSD and it works well, the games are installed on an HDD so I thought that was the problem. Faulty RAM= I ran a full Windows Memory Diagnostic and it found NO errors whatsoever. Troubleshooting is very tedious since I have to play for quite a bit for a crash to occur and there is no real proof that the game is not crashing because the issue is solved or because it's just a "good day" Conclusions At this point I think there are a few possibilities remaining - RAM problem? - PSU problem ? - i think this is the most likely, due to it being certified 80+ white. My guess really is that the PSU is not able to deliver enough power to the gpu for it to even display a second monitor. - GPU problem? I have no real way to diagnose a PSU problem since I don't have another available. If you have any suggestion please let me know and thank you in advance for your time
  14. You name a solution and I have probably tried it. I have a GTX 1060, AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB of ram, and 550W power supply. All the games I play should be able to work just fine with my PC, but most of them crash with no error. Warzone is the most consistent crash as well as AC Valhalla. If anyone has any tips tricks to fix these games let me know! I have tried most general fixes such as disabling overlay, making sure everything is up to date verifying the files, over/underclocking, changed VRAM, ran games in safe mode, or lowest settings, made them bypass firewall, changed settings in the nvidia control panel, ran in debug mode from the nvidia control panel, Ran games as an administrator, uninstalled and reinstalled, Ran them on a fresh Windows 10 and new drivers. I've done some other small things as well that are slipping my memory, but I am in desperate need of assistance. Also This could be beneficial for those who feel like they have tried everything and nothing worked. If Linus Tech Tips can help me fix This problem then I will make another post or make a video detailing what I've tried and how they fixed it. Let me know if you need anything like my Dxdiag, or windows error report. Thank you, Chaylen
  15. So I have a couple games crashing on me, sometimes during heavy load, sometimes when simply doing an install or while just idling. (ARK, Valorant, Sea of Thieves, Apex Legends etc.) I reached out to some of my community members and friends and there seems to be a consensus that it wasn't just the games that's acting up but also the PC itself which was built 7 years ago. I agree. However some of them said it could be a bad power supply. This baffled me. how can a power supply, that carries no data and only supplies pure voltage to the components cause games to crash? Is there such a thing? Granted it is a locally sourced part that came with my v. cheap case and it isn't exactly rated nicely or anything. But I can't wrap my head around how a psu can affect software. Can anyone shed some light on this?
  16. doom eternal is crashing a lot ive tried every tutorial on youtube and nothing works my cpu and gpu is over the minimum of the specs and is a bit over the recimented but it cant even run all low settings and creshes 10 seconds after i lunch it help pls
  17. Hi, TL;DR because it's a bit long: PC freezes entirely when I launch a game after a few minutes - had been in repair twice. I'm gonna preface this by saying I am not the biggest expert on all things component-related. I have purchased the RTX 3090 (Gigabyte Eagle model) a few months ago and I have had consistent crashing issues with it. My specs: Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z490-F CPU: Intel Core i9 11900k RAM: 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz PSU: Corsair 1200W HX1200 80+ Platinum Modular GPU: GeForce Gigabyte RTX 3090 Eagle OC 24 Initially, the PC has had issues with bluescreens appearing on a daily basis even when idling - it was a common occurance that I'd get up from the PC for a few minutes and when I return it's back on the login screen after it had crashed and rebooted. After sending the PC to a shop for evaluation and repair - they had concluded that my i9 10900k (since then replaced) was faulty hence I can either wait for a replacement or upgrade for a much cheaper than retail price. In addition, they stated that the GPU was also found to be the culprit and was sent to Gigabyte for a repair. After the GPU had returned and the CPU was replaced, I have noticed immediately that the blue screens had been replaced by sudden crashes of the entire PC, forcing it to reboot after the image freezes and the PC's audio loops Frustrated, I returned to the shop for a repair and they sent it to Gigabyte once again only for it to return yesterday (note that each 'repair' has been 2 weeks where I used my old GTX 970 and had no issues other than low FPS) To my surprise (or not-so-surprise anymore) it is yet again crashing in a similar manner, only this time when the PC freezes it will not reboot after a few seconds but rather remain that way until I reboot it myself. Many leads on forums point out bad PSUs but I find it hard to believe that a new 1200W PSU cannot handle an RTX 3090 that's not even overclocked. I'm hoping anyone here can lead me to a solution because I'm tired of not being able to use the GPU I had spent so much money on. Thank you for reading if anyone made it this far.
  18. hay guys my gtx 1080 ti keeps crashing like as soon as i get past the menu or secends after i start on almost every game i got and i tryed to see what it was doin in mis kombuster it wont make it past 50% didnt get over 65 degree c.... i updated to the latest ncida deiver 466.47 i think and did windows updates and it still dose it idk what to do now
  19. Hello Guys, I am having a constant problem with my PC: When I start a game such as: APEX LEGENDS/ COD MW etc. My whole pc instantly restarts on its own. I tried to see some errors in Windows Event Viewer, but since the PC just instantly restarts there are no logs to be found. For league of legends which had the same Problem now works. 20. I have used CRT 2.5 for a while and it was working fine but lately, like 2 weeks ago my pc started crashing. So, I have decided to delete the app and restore bios. But pc keeps crashing. I am new to overclocking. My specs are: Ryzen 3600 with a Vetro V5 CPU cooler ASUS B450-F 4 x 8 GB corsair vengeance ram at 3200mhz Ryzen 5700xt Corsair CX 650M Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!
  21. It Appears that my Gpu shuts off because of all my case lights stay on. So im assuming its the GPUS fault. Im running a MSI 3070 OC edition, 5600x, ASUS TUF X570 PLus WIfi, 16 GB of corsair 3600 ram, a samsung 500 gb ssd and a 1.5 TB hard drive. I attempted to trouble shoot my cod, so I did many different fixes i found on the internet, none of them worked, I switched it to Direct X 11, updated my drivers and my windows and so much more, but nothing seems to work. I used to be able to play cod after it crashed a bit but now it has entirely stopped working. An interesting thing to note that i believe is related to this is that whenever i try to play valorant, it says PC requires restart. If any one has any suggestions on what to do taht would be greatly appreciated. Ive already uninstalled and reinstalled, im genuinely out of ideas. THanks!
  22. Hi, Since a month or so I keep getting blue screens with random error codes at random times. Sometimes it's while playing a game, other times while just having the PC on, not even logged in. It occurs since I bought a new PSU, the Cooler master Masterwatt Lite 700w. Probably because I've activated XMP. Before buying this PSU I had some underpowering 500w PSU which didn't allow me to use xmp. I've driven the RAM on non XMP for 2.5 years. If I try to run my ram on XMP profile 2 (3466mhz), for which my ram is specified, It BSoD's right away, that's why I am running it on 3200. Can anyone help me with why my PC keeps crashing? I try to avoid resetting Windows, as I'm literally doing this every 3 month's because Windows is a piece of garbage. Thank you. 23. I recently got a second hand 1080ti really cheap but it seems to have something going on with it. The thing will boot up in windows with no issue and I tested it with MSI afterburner and Kombustor and could get it to work under load if I lowered the memory clock, but it would still always fail to run games (I tested with BO3 as its all I have installed on this PC) I tried changing the fan speeds and replaced the thermal paste but no difference. I know 100% its the graphics card at fault as I have a second 1080 ti I usually run in the computer and it runs without issue. I'm getting the feeling it might be the memory going bad on it since I have to underclock it. Also there is some weird audible noise coming from it when under load not sure if its coil whine. Any ideas? Thanks.
  24. I bought a new i9 9900k processor, and 32gb ram, with a z390 gaming edge AC mobo about 3 months ago, everything seemed to be running fine then out of nowhere i started getting a ton of BSOD, Anytime i try to load almost any game, it will crash after 5-10 minutes of playing it, and i've had many BSOD's different error codes, most common is memory management error I have tried to only use 1 stick of ram, in every slot, out of the 4 sticks i have now, no matter what it's giving me the error (this is with the old ram as well) i've switched between my old mobo and processor and the new one multiple times, and nothing seems to be working, i recently have tried to switch OS to my other hard drives, and that doesn't appear to be working, i'm at a loss of what it might be, i've updated the BIOS on the new Mobo as well. The crashes can occur at any point, doesn't matter how miniscule of a task i'm doing, sometimes it'll do it when trying to play a game, other times i'm just sitting at the desktop looking through documents, I know a small amount about computers, but nothing to be able to fix this, i do not have another graphics card to test to see if it's that or not. Right now i have my old mobo, and processor in, with every stick of ram i own as well. so the bios version is oudated, but it was still doing it with the newest bios version on my new motherboard. so i don't think it can be that I've had these BSOD's that i can remember: 1. IRQL_NOT_GREATER_OR_EQUAL 2. MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 3. KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 4. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 5. INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 6. PFN_LIST_CORRUPT 7. PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 8. CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED I am desperate for help right now, i can't seem to figure out what the issue is, sorry for the rambling, and longer post, but i've tried a lot, even some things i've not listed. My Psu is 850w gold, and a GTX Nvidia 1080ti
  25. Hi, i have been so lucky as to be able to build myself a top of the line PC after christmas. It's a 5800x/3080 system where I've tuned some overclocks and gotten pretty familiar with it.However I cannot for the life of me get GTA V to run stable even at STOCK settings (also D.O.C.P./XMP off). I have tried close to every workaround I've seen online even going as far as to reinstall windows fresh. It mostly just crashes straight to desktop after 5-20 minutes of running with the event viewer code shown below, but I have also experienced complete freezes and BSOD, although i think some of them might be because of some shady fixes I've tried as I've not experienced that after starting the game "clean" multiple times. I have tried many other demanding titles such as AC:Valhalla, Valheim, lots of benchmarks etc and never gotten this type of error in any of these games. I know there was a similar issue that was related to an update about a month ago, but as far as I know this was fixed for most people with a later update. The GTA log had nothing of interest other than one line with "STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION" error. Event Viewer: For the record I've tried installing it in both the non-windows and the windows drive. PC Specs: CPU AMD Ryzen R7 5800X Motherboard ROG Crosshair VIII DARK HERO RAM 4x8 Corsair Vengaence RGB PRO 3600 CL18 GPU ASUS RTX 3080 Strix OC Storage Samsung 980 PRO 1TB NVME Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVME PSU Corsair AX1000 Currently running BETA BIOS 3501, but this was tried as a fix since 3401 was also crashing. Rezisable BAR has been both on and off. Hoping somebody can help me with this, since the other guys i usually play with are pretty tired of waiting for me to fix this so we can play.
