Just wanted to share this in off-topic, Game looks stunningly beautiful in ultra wide..Resolution is at 3440x1440 on an Acer XR341CK 34" freesync monitor,tested by Ryan.. Instead of finishing the beta on October 11th with a load of basic bugs and broken mechanics, I feel as though dice should extend the beta so they can actually fix some of the issues such as the terrible spawns and some of the balancing issues. I feel like if they were to fix those issues in the beta then it will prove to they player community that they will indeed fix the issues before launch and possibly improve the player count. However, they will not be able to fix some of the bigger things like flight combat and sensitivity and make it more likely for the rebels to win. I believe it would be a good start to show the players they care about a good game. It would also be nice to play this game a little longer since the game is amazing. In the comments please post if you think this would be a good idea, if you like the game, and any issues you have noticed AND how they can fix them. Thank you.

My personal opinion is slightly in the nay category but would like to see others thoughts, also don't click nay if the reason is a failure to work due to gpu issues

The beta launched 7pm AEST here in Australia, and I've been playing for about two hours. Here are some of my thoughts. First trouble I had with the game was stuttering on the main menus, it would commonly freeze up for a second or so, this didn't happen in-game though. After a bit of playing and getting used to the weird flying controls, I feel that the Imperials at the moment are overpowered. Every single game I played, the imperials won, it's almost worth just quitting if you get placed on the rebel team because you aren't going to win. The air is either dominated by the rebels or imperials, personally I think there needs to be a limit to the amount of aircraft you can have in the air at once, say if the rebels team has zero aircraft in the air, it should limit it to.. lets say two aircraft, but instead you get 4 or 6 Imperial fighters flying around shreking everyone on the ground and when someone on the rebel does decide to fly, you get destroyed by 6 aircraft. Now some of the pros; The graphics are amazing, and they run super well on my 390, I do get occasional black flicking every 30 minutes but it is a beta after all. It's a fun game (When you play on the Imperial side.) I'll update this later with some more thoughts and I'll post the benchmarks of my R9 390.

Hey guys, so, the BF beta starts for me and prompts me to title screen. I can also move the cursor. However, when it prompts to press enter and I press enter, absolutely nothing happens. I've tried both enter keys, tried another keyboard, and I've also switched to a lower res screen to raise the framerate a bit. It also is upset that my Intel driver isn't x14.something or higher, even though according to the textbox I'm at x.15.something, so... yeah. Lots of people mention that I should Alt-Enter to get into Windowed mode, but that doesn't work, and when Alt-Tabbing it goes into windowed mode, but I'm unaible to drag the Window around as it just fullscreens again. Any ideas? -
I've been getting pretty tanked scores for 3Dmark Firestrike after doing a clean install of the recent 358.50 driver, which was released yesterday for Battlefront beta. It really screwed my scores. So, I've had this build for a while now. I've been noticing that when i play Battlefront,Witcher 3, and GTA V that my fps only gets a boost of 10-20fps when i turn on Crossfire. My Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pQZLzy I've noticed on the internet that people are saying that AMD Crimson is having some issues when it comes towards Crossfire on these games. Can anyone help me find a solution about a certain profile for these games or can someone pass me a link to the latest CCC drivers before they went to Crimson? It seems on my computer i don't have the installers for the older drivers and i'm having issues on the AMD website to get older drivers. I'm truly saddened that AMD would let this kind of amazing feature be stomped on over a highly praised program they made.

Just bought Star Wars Battlefront EA, played for a couple of hours, everything was fine, until it decided to crash and since then the FPS have been terrible, even in the menus, floating between 50-10 FPS. I've searched everywhere and i couldn't find a solution. Specs; i7-4790k @4.00GHz 4.7Ghz GTX 970 Strix (oc in the picture provided) I don't think is my hardware and I doubt that it's my drivers, updated them yesterday.

Compare this speeder bike mission gameplay: With this at-st mission gameplay: Every time I record the speeder bike mission, the video becomes low quality, and has a bad compression. The two videos have all game and recorder settings the same. I tried increasing the bit rate to 30MB/s, from 12 on the recorder, and that had no effect on the quality. Lowered the game quality settings, no effect. I am recording using plays.tv (AMD raptor), and I'm using a separate hdd for my recordings. Any ideas what could be causing this. Its the only game / mission that I have ever had a problem recording. Gamestop's gameplay has bad compression too: To mods, sorry if this is in the wrong thread... -
Specs: http://valid.x86.fr/s8um5m I've been noticing some of the problems for awhile now, and more and more pop up. I've posted on the individual applications various sites for help, but the problem no longer seems specific to any one program. I primarily do my work in Cockos Reaper, Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, all of which I have experienced UI issues in. In Reaper, sometimes the UI will disappear/go black. In After Effects, I'll go from one composition to another one, and either it won't display anything in the view (just black) or it'll display a image from a totally different project that's not even open! In Premiere Pro, sometimes when I'm scrubbing through the footage it'll no longer play in the viewer, it'll just remain still without changing the video at all. Even in games I have been finding more and more issues. Heroes of Newerth: my cursor disappears. I can still click around in the menu/in-game, but there is no cursor so I don't know where my mouse is. Battlefront is now experiencing some issues as well: when I start it, it starts on a black screen and I have to alt-tab-window key and click back in the window to get it to display. But sometimes when I alt tab out of it: it just goes to black, and the only way for me to get it to display something is RESTART MY MONITOR (a Dell U2414H which isn't really displaying issues with anything else). Outside of THOSE two things: just random apps and the desktop itself display signs of issues. When in VLC media player, when I double-click to go fullscreen it takes a little bit, and then the controls dont show up. They are there, just invisible or something, I can click them but they do not visually appear. Sometimes when I go from fullscreen to windowed it goes all black until I go out of it. Skype sometimes has remnants of other windows that were over it stuck on its UI. The desktop sometimes displays icons on the taskbar in the wrong place (or UNDERNEATH the Windows home button on the left). What could possibly be going on? I've updated and uninstalled all things imaginable. Did a clean install of the video drivers using DDU. The Reaper and desktop issues have been going on for a while, the After Effects/VLC/Battlefront issues are all recent things that have started happening. Any ideas? I'm desperate now.

As part of EA's 10 year licensing deal with Disney, they have expressed their intentions to make many, many star wars games for console, mobile, and PC. Their CFO, Blake Jorgensen, is quoted as saying There are also rumors that there's a Star Wars RPG-Style game currently in development. Personal opinion: **Caution. High amounts of salt** Ugh. EA being EA again. First they insult the good name of battlefront by releasing a reskin and tweak of BF4, then they announce intentions to make even more. If you need me, I'll be enjoying space battles and singleplayer campaign on Battlefront II. Y'know, features that were available 10 years ago, and should've be included in Battlefront III. I am really liking the air superiority mode in battlefront but I want to use a controller. I have a dual shock 4 with a usb cable that has worked in the past and I know that for a fact. But I have tried plugging it in once the game is launched, before it launched and things like that. But the game still refuses to detect my controller. Pls halp and ty!

There will be 12 multiplayer maps on launch for Star Wars BF3 including the ones from the planet Sullust. "You may remember that in Return of the Jedi, Darth Vader mentions to the Emperor a rumor that the Rebel Fleet is gathering near Sullust. Well, in Star Wars Battlefront that planet is now imagined as a rather hostile location with "black sharp rocks, huge land shifts, red lava, turquoise lakes, and white smoke". The development team at DICE traveled to Iceland to get some references photos of the terrain for use on the Sullust map." Well this is really interesting news. I haven't seen any posts about it at all here yet. EA recently released some info about a new upcoming Starfighter dogfighting mode: 10 v 10 fights - w/ hero ships (Millennium Falcon and Slave One are pictured in the trailer) What do you guys think? The trailer looks pretty intriguing. Looks like some sort of lock-on limited tracking system. There are missiles/torpedoes as well. I'm kind of hoping that the bigger capital ships will be at least part of the level, as a fixed "base" or something, but even just the straight up dogfighting should be damn fun. -
So I just read through this, http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/04/22/star-wars-battlefront-dev-addresses-dlc-concerns And basically, my Initial thought was: "Kinda sounds like he's just avoiding the real question, why not just include it all at once and not make people pay extra for a game they already paid for" He mentions "I’ve never heard anyone say 'Let’s not do this for launch so we can do it as DLC instead'. Ever.” But that doesn't necessarily say that it won't happen. Thoughts? ~Blackler~

This thread is to talk about EA and Dice new game, Star Wars Battlefront What we know Comes out on November 17 Up to 40 players (SWB2 was up to 64 on pc) No single player (Dice sucks at doing these and SWB2 single player was just a bot battle with a cut-seen) Mostly in the original series Free DLC will come out with battles from the new series (EA? Free DLC?) Around 16 maps to launch with two more from the free DLC (SWB2 had about 29 maps not including space maps) There is third and first person mode Vehicles will have a larger roll but no space battles. (Was there dog fighting outside the space battles in SWB2?) Will be on Origin (Just put a shortcut into steam and stop complaining) Will not use Battle log Modding support not known as of yet Will be out on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

which is better two gtx 580 in sli as they are going on ebay for a bout £60 or $93 per card on ebay (Used). or a gtx 770 which is about £150 or $233 on ebay new. So i was wondering which card is better for the price and does sli double the performance of the system furthermore which card would run upcoming games the best ie Battlefront
