  1. Don‘t get me wrong, I genuinely think this is useful and am happy for everyone who benefits from this. The first Part was a failed attempt to be funny;)
  2. Yeah, I wouldn‘t trust my brain with that kind of power without constant supervision. My mind tends to go to funny places and that spells disaster, lol. Good for that individual and others though!
  3. Not surprising, but I‘m glad to have an official date. I‘m in for a new MacBook (hopefully new 16 Pro), iPhone and iPad. Only my iPhone 6 Plus is still (barely) keeping me afloat rn lol.
  4. Oops, I didn‘t even think about just checking the 8-pins instead of comparing PCBs. Thanks for the reply!
  5. Not too familiar with PCB layouts and interpreting them, so maybe stupid question ahead: could the recently leaked Asus/Noctua 3090 be such a 3090 Super? Thus the beefy cooling?
  6. Thank you for the reply and the links. I did actually read up on the differences, but I failed to ask the correct question in op. Here‘s the deal: I was considering 3 monitors: xg258q, xg27wq and xg27aq xg258q is 1080p TN and 240Hz but about 3-4 years old by now and hard to come by brand new (in Germany). So that makes me a little worried. xg27wq is a VA panel and I‘m really not the biggest fan unless they‘ve come a long way by now. It does however have freesync premium pro. Now the xg27aq looks very promising (27“, 1440p, IPS, up to 170Hz) but it just says g-sync compatible. Does this automatically mean it is freesync compatible? And of so is it just Freesync or Premium or Pro? My budget is at roughly 600€
  7. Good evening everyone, I habe finally managed to get all parts for my build at basically MSRP and I‘m now deciding on a monitor. I haven‘t had a gaming PC in a long while which is why I‘m a bit lost when it comes to monitors and their features. Apart from that I‘d like some input from you based on personal experience. I‘d really like to stick with Asus for my monitor (throughout great experience with their products in the past and it fits my theme). Currently I want to get the xg258q (1080p, 24.5in, 240Hz). I mostly (70%) play competitive shooters (CS:GO, RB6) and some more demanding battle royals (CoD and Apex) - I do ocasionally play a AAA title (Resident Evil Remakes, upcoming Village, HZD, Doom, Cyberpunk) as well. A cinematic experience is always welcome, but smoothness is my priority and I doubt 27“ and 1440p are that much more immersive. What‘s your experience here? Is there anything particularly wrong with the xg258q that I should know about? Is there anything better by Asus I should take a look at? It just has FreeSync, no FreeSync2, no Premium and no Pro. Does that matter? From what I understand Premium Pro is for HDR which doesn‘t apply here. What about regular Premium and 2? Lastly the main components of my build: CPU 5800X GPU 6900XT Ram 32GB 3600 CL16
  8. From what I‘ve seen thus far there seem to be quite a few changes to the OG shift which should help with thermals. Back is now perforated, GPU fans face outside by default (great for mesh panels!), 2.9 slot GPU support, more space for cables up top and slightly different PSU orientation.
  9. I wasn‘t very clear - that‘s on me. I personally meant a solid red card (shroud and backplate) like the Gigabyte and ASUS white versions; just in red. Or any color you fancy. Just as an accent in the build. Would fit nicely with an all white or black system. My my apartment is mostly black/grey and my lounge chair is bright red for example. It‘s the only „real“ color you‘ll see in here, lol.
  10. The GPU market is really disappointing design wise. You have gamer-tech look or this over the top Waifu design. How about just a solid color. All-Black setup with a Signal red GPU as the highlight of the System? Obviously you can‘t provide X colors of each model an only manufacturing a red GPU will Limit possibly buyers. A man can dream though.
  11. Great idea to bring this back. Unfortunately I‘m way too picky with monitors and watch TV whenever a show is on that I want to watch - that is some stupid brain-off show, nothing that I can also watch via stream. So basically once a year for a week.
  12. As someone who mainly plays competitive FPS and just the occasional AAA release: this mouse is way too light for my taste. Just because one can‘t tell a difference between a light an heavy mouse doesn‘t mean that pros don‘t benefit from it. And just because some pros prefer light mice doesn‘t mean that everybody has to use a light mouse to play at a competitive level. You get used to something and every change in what you are used to (be it shape, buttons or weight) will massively throw you off for a while. Really just depends on what you buy in the first place and get used to. it does look very sexy and clean though. Price is high but I‘d be fine with that if I wanted such a light mouse AND it had USB C.
  13. Performance is one side of the story, the other is price. Very interested to see benchmarks and the full line-up eventually (including 3060ti?). Less pointless = worthwhile your time and money honestly though the 6800 does sit in a very weird spot. Not entirely sure what AMD thought when pricing this one.
  14. From what I understand yes. Like Spotify without a premium account. 2 songs and then an ad for example.
  15. Phanteks Evolv mATX is worth a look as well
  16. Because it bothers enough people who then say „fuck it, I guess I‘ll just buy Corsair fans and a Corsair AIO to keep it simple.“. Which makes money.
  17. Oh yeah, shouldn‘t be a problem and with additional fans the meshify is one of the best. Just wanted to make sure OP knows this but of info
  18. I think t was GN that advised to add more fans to the meshify c as it performs mediocre in stock configuration.
  19. Thanks everybody for the updates so we don‘t have to open several links especially on mobile. But it man that is horrible I really hope it‘s not a real threat and everybody gets away from this (physically) unharmed. Hate Ubi as much as you want, no one should have to live through something like that.
  20. I was planning to get two of these beauties for my upcoming build as it‘s the perfect monitor for me as of right now. If it‘s not too much of a hassle for you guys I‘d really appreciate if you could keep this thread alive and let us know if there‘s any news
  21. Moin, someone did something like this a while back on Reddit. He swapped both PSU and CPU cooler. I didn‘t go through the entire thread for results, but according to OP it was a PITA. Hope the link works as it‘s copied from the App. Best of luck with this project!
  22. It really makes a difference (to me st least) to turn the machine on that I truly wanted vs. anything different. For 15£ extra I would buy the case that I really want. With that being said: I agree with @TheDailyProcrastinator in that I too would pick the Phanteks case over Lian Li. What video reviews can‘t give you is a real look at the case in person and the feel and so far I‘ve been very impressed with Phanteks cases I‘ve been hands on with.
  23. Wow, I really appreciate you taking the time to reply in such a detailed manner - thanks a lot, that helps a lot <3
