I'd take it apart, clean out all the dust from the ventilation, heatsinks, and fan. Put it back together and check the temperatures. If it's still toasty try replacing the thermal paste on the cpu.

uhhhhhhh there is already a HDMI on the R290x natively, Its not like apple where the connecter is sold seperately after you buy the card, they at least have the sense to throw it in. Not to mention this is probably nessary due to being an active converter adapter and probably has something to do with the new on board audio. Talk about grasping at straws this is so minor of a problem that most wont even notice it. Hell Id rather use DVI anyways.

Athlon X4 750K is AMD A10-5800K without iGPU, so Athlon X4 760K should be AMD A10-6800K, I would suggest go for 760K if its possible, as there are few tweaks and it overclocks better. Get a good A85X and OC crap out of your 760k/750k, but dont forget about cooling.
 
And get a good GPU, 7950 if getting cheaper and GTX 760 is a good alternative. Dont worry about bottlenecks or expensive ram, Athlon dont need hi speed memory.

depends on the game, fps and combat games i prefer 60 fps (maybe also sport and racing games) otherwise 30 fps with higher details 

I hope they go for 60p versus slightly higher visual fidelity.

Well, It would be about Sata3 speed in Raid 0, I have in my PC Sata3 SSD on Sata2 port (old platform) and for everyday use its fine. I have sandforce drive, so it is what it is after some time and when it gets filled.
 
You could use one drive as a storage for OS and other one for software it would be safer and possibly stable option.

Get an SSD.
