  1. Picked up a Rossi RS22 in bronze (to match my new UTAS) ($169) and a Gforce Arms P3 12ga in walnut furniture ($169) Ive been banking a bunch of guns these last few weeks, over the summer the shows slow down in my area and I will finally be able to get time to shoot them lol.

Gun Show was in a resort at the Lake of the Ozarks in MO - so took the family with me and we stayed the weekend, just got back - had a blast.

Wouldn't this be the better deal provided someone has something else they plan to buy from Newegg?

Comes to the same $37 after using the $10 MIR and you get a Gen 4 drive with double the read/write, double the random read and nearly 3x the random write. Every other spec is pretty much the same.

Random write is pretty important too, we're talking faster OS/software/application loading times and quicker programs while in use. So theoretically you're nearly tripling the speed of all these for the same $37.

Maybe, I dont dig for deals just happen to see them and do it.

I also have ZERO faith in MIR.  They do not work, there is very little accountability and time is money - the time I have to spend to keep them accountable isnt worth the rebate.

I mean, 20+ years of buying PC parts, my first 10 I tried rebates.  They are just lies lol.  I dont even attempt them anymore so I dont believe they are actually or should actually be included in any prices

Example - I am so skeptical of MIR's because they just dont get honored - I spend like $1000 a month min on guns and ammo.  Winchester recently had a huge MIR deal on ammo.  Good .223 down to .37c a round AFTER MIR.  Ha no Ill just pay more and still less than the original price prior to MIR.

Agreed. I ran a Prestone Universal coolant at about a 20% coolant 80% water mix in my old loop and did zero service to it. Eventually after 5-6 years some white gunk formed and clung to surfaces and then it sat stored for about 8 years. Other than the white gunk nothing went bad, corroded, etc. Washed the loop out, it all works fine. For long term use car coolants seem to be solid choices, they're made to handle much worse conditions than PC's experience.

Ive had a loop running now for almost/around 5 years with only having to top off once in a while (HEAVY overclock 4.2ghz on R7 1700)

Eventually I am going to take all the rads out and cut them up to prove there is zero issue (again, did this once on a 1 year old loop and now we have more data)

  4. Once I was trying to travel for work, had a knife in my jeans carpenter pants side pocket.  Went through metal detector, body detector, wand and we just couldnt figure out what was causing the beep lol.

They decided to just let me past and on my plane, about 3 minutes later while putting my shoes on I felt it in my pocket I was like WTF lol.  I threw it away so not to have further issues.  Dont know why just decided to share this story

wdum u have a team group sponser

If I email my rep at Team Group in Taiwan and tell them what Im building and ask if they are interested in sponsoring the build with RAM and Storage.  They say yes or no (have always said yes) and I advertise them during my Build Logs here at LTT and a couple other forums.

I only mention it cause a few Mods here know this fact and I dont want to appear to be advertising for them as that is not ok here on these forums.  I just stumbled on this crazy deal while perusing Newegg this morning.

  6. I honestly do not need any more m.2 storage atm.  I am going to be pissed in about 2 months when I do need something and I didnt pick this up.  CRAZY deal.  I just gave away a 1tb 2.5" SSD to a neighbor (thats how much I dont need storage atm lol).

Anyways, crazy deal.  I do not know if I am supposed to state that I have a Team Group sponsorship but I do but this has NOTHING to do with that.  I browse Newegg every day.

Anyhow this is a SOLID every day driver 1tb for the average/above average user.

I would love to own a 1911. One of these days...

Ive had a couple, but really gravitated away from them a few years ago (capacity and weight) - I do see them as old fuddy duddy guns LOL (still love em of course) - this one in particular I pulled the "trigger" on because its one of three brands that case harden the frame and slide creating a 1 of a kind finish on each gun - guy said he was able to get ahold of 6, let me pick from them and chose this one.  Ill shoot it for my YT channel but it will become a safe queen after that

Honestly didn't know that rule.  It's not like I'm the eBay seller, and it's not just one item, it's multiple available.

Moderators feel free to delete the thread, maybe it's best cause people won't be bothered to mod the board with resistors anyway.

You are a genuine help to me and multiple people and have a level of knowledge I assuradly dont have.  I have no doubt you are just trying to help folks on a sweet deal 🙂

i did the exact same thing...drilled through the whole fin exactly where the screw hole was placed...the thing is..i can't properly see if the water pipe wqs damaged as well..cause the corner of the radiator is somehow covered...

my issue is...if it doesn't leak when i start the pc with the cooler ouside the case...is there a chance it will leak in the future? is the pressure inside high?

If it were me, and it didnt leak when I put water in it and put pressure to it (weather just blowing through the thing or hooked up as a loop) I would just run it

    Damn ... Hk vp9 are 7->800 bucks!

I need it.... But I don't .... But it's the gun that my body knows inside and out.

Considering the money I spend on other stupid stuff, I think getting the hk vp9 will save me money.

I think I'm going to bite the metaphorical bullet...

Did you see forgotten weapons was loaned the new hi point carbine?

I didnt even know they made one in that caliber until you pointed it out!  Nice!

Thanks! I've always used that in the past but I've been so disconnected from the scene, and with all the new types of threats like rootkits (is that even a thing for mining software...?), I wasn't sure if malwarebytes was still relevant. Especially the free version.

The randomness of it is what gets me. I've played around with preset fan curves in the ASUS software and in the BIOS but I notice very very little difference. I've noticed I had my case fans set for 12V since forever, and setting that to 5V also doesn't help AFAICT...

The PC is clean, I don't smoke, no pets, tile floors, ambient temperature is never above 20C. I've adjusted the position of the case fans for optimized airflow, removed some HDDS, cleaned the filters, used the PC with the front door open but nothing seems to help.

No matter what I adjust: sometimes it ramps up (always very very subtly, mind you, but always to the point it becomes uncomfortable to have that PC in the living room), other times I notice no difference from idle. And even on idle it seems to ramp up sometimes, although this happens more rarely.

(BTW: I have edited my OP with my current build. Yes I have a closed front case optimized for noise reduction - which I realize isn't the best for airflow - but that doesn't seem to clearly be the problem in this case either...)

Get you some high end CPU thermal paste (TG Kryonaut is my goto for the best paste) as that CPU has been cooking on that old paste for so long it may just be cake at this point under that cooler.

If you set fan curves in bios to DC 5v and didnt notice - it may be the GPU fans you are hearing.  Try to see which fan is spooling up (do you have a fan speed monitor / GPU fan monitor software?)

I mean, Linus did point out that a 20$ cooler was easier to mount and wrecked it for performance, so....  IDK what else you'd want them to say lol

I didnt want them to say anything, I didnt watch the video I just clicked their link to the cooler, based on my description and no mention of LTT or their thoughts:

Based on pictures, price and description (COOLER MASTER TECHNOLOGIES!  what you mean their fan?) there are far superior options for quite a bit less on Amazon, and Newegg readily available.
