I'd like to think my GTS 450 is still being used well, and serving somebody else as well as it served me. I will always think that, it was my first GPU. This is what it looked like, exact same card.

It was certianly noticable! I had to overclock my GTS 450 to the moon to hold up to modern gaming. The core itself was plenty strong for 1080p Medium in even modern games at the time. The 1GB VRAM was the big issue, and why I finally retired it. I dont remember my exact OC, but the sliders were near maxed in MSI Afterburner. On Air! And temps never went above 78c!

My motherboard came packaged with single DVD that just installed all the drivers in one go. So, if you wan't that feature go MSI I guess.

As I said, my MSI board came with a master DVD for all the MSI drivers and recommended software, and you could select what you want to install

It more or less took me a year of self teaching. I would find an issue, fix it, break something else in the process, so-on. I never concidered myself a techie at the time, I just needed to fix things as I was too poor to replace them. Thus I never watched tech YT channels or even guides on how to fix my issues. Just kept trying things till it worked.
 
Now a days I can rattle off facts on most any piece of tech hardware on varying levels of usefulness.

Vista was pretty okay. It had its bugs, as every OS does. The issue (as discussed) is that companies sold under-spec'd machines as vista ready that simply weren't.
 
AeroUI was more system taxing than XP, and this wasn't accounted for by OEM's. Was the fault on MS' poor optimization or OEM's cheaping out? Yes

Common issue with Powerline adapters. The extra draw of lights creates a dirtier electricity flow that makes Powerline adapters sad. Theyre incredibly picky and never see their rated speeds anyways. AkBKuKu was seeing sub 100Mbs on his Gigabit adapters under even perfect circumstances.

The Xeon 5350 is a dual core, so it will perform similar to a Core 2 Duo. AKA: Too slow for modern gaming. Find an i7 960 or similar X58 compatible CPU's (or newer) in a Dell Optiplex fulltower. Change the PSU out and put in a GPU, good cheap system

@1kv is the guy known for the PSU tier list in his bio. And uh- I've talked to him in a few threads, he hated on my PSU

Extra bulk and another thing to carry around, but I have and do own a few non-fast charging ones ATM that I use. I'm patiently waiting out for a proper business use phone with real all day battery life.
