Stewartrc reacted to HippY in 900D Overkill build
If I am honest, I would use a 1KW PSU
why? because they are the most efficient around 50% of usage. although it is arguably saving the cost of PSU vs electricity... but it consider a good move no cost spared stuff

Hey mate, well from the moment i opened the box i really liked it. and ive completed half the build so far and at no point have i said "FFS that cant fit"
The quality i think is really good. its sturdy in all the right places, but some things are fragile. Such as the front cover where you usb ports are.
Other things which ive noticed, the rear Fan can only be a 140mm FAN.
And that the 3 fans at the front are not flush against each other, the top fan has a slight gap between the one below.
Other then that at this time there isnt much to complain about. Loads of room and its nice and cool inside.

At long last, NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 980 graphics card has arrived... Are the rumors about its power consumption and performance true? Watch to find out!

Stewartrc reacted to Fulgrim in NAS recommendations?
If you have any leftover spare parts, like an old dual core or whatever, put one together with some WD Red drives as storage. Slap FreeNAS on and you're good to go. My buddy has a 6core bulldozer which he was gonna throw out, but ended up building a cheap NASbox, which stores all his music/movies/anime etc, and hosts a Teamspeak 3 server off it.
