HiddenFox got a reaction from MiszS in Exfat vs ntfs
Lol Linux can use NTFS without a problem but your probably better off converting over to ext4 once on Linux.

HiddenFox got a reaction from justanotherbeing in Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
Had to check the forum just to see what people were saying about this, haven't logged-in in years. Looks like LMG are going to have to apologise and probably settle with Billet Labs before they launch a lawsuit for selling prototype equipment they were expecting back.
Interesting to say the least but I must say I unsubscribed from LTT years ago due to the half-arsed content. It was the chilling Threadripper 2 video that pushed me over the edge. They had so much potential for some good OC content but just started filming and went full retard.
I've never trusted the CPU/GPU reviews or tbh anything regarding performance. The only time I watch LMG is when they mess with enterprise servers/networking/storage just to cringe at how they deploy things with no planning or understanding.

And there it is. The "hard R". I would go out on a limb and say that Linus doesn't mind not having people like you subscribed.

HiddenFox got a reaction from Dexkum in 64 Cores - Why Would We DO This??
The fact that you didn't even check the task manager to see what the CPU was doing or even have GPU-Z or an overlay on the game to see what was happening was really disappointing. I was expecting Linus to attempt to optimise a game to get it to run better but he didn't even bother. Was it a core clock issue (most likely) was it a bandwidth limitation? Guess we will never know. Content is really lacking these days Linus. Probably the shallowest video I've seen to date. Disappointed

Try using WinDirStat or TreeSize as admin. Might just be the hibernation/page/swap/indexing file.

HiddenFox got a reaction from Catsrules in Best RAID option for 4 1tb drives?
Honestly, I recommend ZFS to everyone as it is truly amazing but if you're looking for a RAID I'd probably go with RAID 5.

HiddenFox reacted to andreweddy in Making X58 last a bit longer in 2018!!
So decided to update my x58 based super pc to 2017, done a few upgrades on stuff that was bugging me
So here is the ole case and dust with awesome and well routed cables that i spent a lot of time on
1 - Antec 1200 case which is loud and about 8 years old now swapped out for a nice Corsair Crystal 570x RGB and a few extra SP120 Fans
2 - Its been De Dusted - aka the cpu cooler was a bit clogged up so a good clean and motherboard cleanse + new thermal paste etc.
3 - a nice new Nvidia GTX 1060 instead of crossfire radeons 5770s and a gtx 950 ive also had in there.
4 - USB 3 been added via pci express add in card. Its nice to have USB3, even media pc which is an amd 860k, a88x has usb3 and type c included but x58 is a bit older, but still nice to copy stuff a lot faster to nas from usb hdds
5 - I wanted RGB so got some rgb stripes from deepcool and a remote control, so final look I think aint too bad, apart from cable colours on atx 24 pin and pci 6 pin power cables, and the power supply shroud can only hide so many cables, with rgb and other stuff i had quite a few cables to put in down there and they are mostly hidden, but maybe another sorting is required??
6 - planned next month is cpu going from i7 920 to a nice xeon x5670. Worth it for only 35 quid. Get a decent IPC upgrade. 45nm vs 32nm, and a few more cores and a decent oc shud be gd.
let me know what you think
cheers

HiddenFox reacted to iRileyx in dbrand being imature and unprofesional.
Looks like a joke that people are taking a bit too personally, imo.
Plus it's on the internet for christ sake, if some pety shit like this truly offends you, you need to find somewhere else to spend your time, cause you're in for a long ride
Did people get equally as offended when they called iPhones garbage?
And the tweet right under that iPhone one, taking a sly dig at Blackberry
So i think it's safe to say that this Nokia tweet, amongst the others, is a joke.

HiddenFox reacted to Cereal5 in Modded SLI! A budget builders last resort?
We know. It sounds like crap lol that's what we're saying. All of SLIs regular problems plus all these new ones that no one can explain

I'm all for modding and customization and trying new things. Trust me. I tried overclocking my 5820K to 5GHz on 3 cores only. Didn't work. I put a real pumpkin inside my computer case. I ran a GTX 970 as a physX card with my GTX 1080. Didn't make a difference lol. But that's something I personally wouldn't mess with. Just my opinion
Yeah we got it

HiddenFox got a reaction from Deagon in Is my GPU dying ?
Issue Fixed 05/08/16
Used device manager and disabled and re-enabled my GPU
(FPS restored to norm)
EDIT
Turns out my 650 Ti was running in PCIe x1.1 according to GPU-Z
Disabling and Enabling allowed a x3.0 connection

I was going to say blow the dust outta the card, but looks like you got it already. What a weird issue, good troubleshooting!
